Tonight 9.30pm. Based on the Sue Gray report telling the story of what was happening during Covid 19 inside 10 Downing Street including the lockdown breaching parties.

Lucy from Narnia appears to be the only one with even a bit of a conscience.

Sorry don't know the actress's name.

Georgie Henley. Grace started out idolising Boris but very slowly is becoming very disillusioned by it all.

Roussette · 03/10/2023 22:32

Having it interspersed with real life stories just brings it all home.
That funeral where the poor elderly guy couldnt be hugged by his son was cruel.

WestwardHo1 · 03/10/2023 22:33

That chap with the £14,300 fine

I hope he never paid.

PrincessScarlett · 03/10/2023 22:33

That poor bloke fined £14,000 for breaking lockdown rules when there were all those parties inside 10 Downing Street. He must be beyond livid.

JenniferBooth · 03/10/2023 22:34

January lockdown What bollocks Tier 4 at Christmas was a lockdown in all but name They just didnt want to call it a lockdown

Im refusing to watch this, doesn't seem right to make a drama out of something that was illegal at the time, and they are all still parading about scot free

And what was Johnson's FPN? £100. I'm fuming all over again watching this.

I think the more people who watch this the better - we should not forget the partying that went on while others were isolating/ill/dying, and seeing it on screen really brings it home.

AnnieSnap · 03/10/2023 22:37

I’m watching it and I’m so angry. It isn’t telling me anything I didn’t know, but seeing all of the related issues/points brought together is making my blood boil 😡🤬

I totally get that, but it's honestly not like that.

It's not just a drama. I think the ads for it were misleading and it's far harder hitting than that.

PermanentTemporary · 03/10/2023 22:40

Completely get that ssd but it is more like a reenactment of the various investigations, interspersed with people telling their stories. I think it's well done.

I agree

The promo kind of gave an impression this was a comedy.
Bit it's not.

I'm only 15 mins in, and fuck I'm angry.

museumum · 03/10/2023 22:41

It’s really good. Channel 4 hitting back at the govt for trying to defund them (even though they don’t fund them!)

ssd · 03/10/2023 22:41

Ok, the ads were misleading but i dont think this will affect tory Britain unless they show the queen at Philips funeral sitting alone and then their conscience might be pricked a teeny bit

ssd · 03/10/2023 22:42

I dont think they give a fuck otherwise

I'm so very very angry!

Me too. Watching my mum in tears because we couldnt hug her on her Birthday, standing outside waving at her trying to be cheerful.
Boris and his bunch of cunts .

Roussette · 03/10/2023 22:47

I think they should play this on the building of the houses of parliament every week until a general election

StarbucksSmarterSister · 03/10/2023 22:50

Horrifyingly brilliant. Bloody lying bastards.

SwedishEdith · 03/10/2023 22:50

The police bodycam footage of ordinary people's parties being raided and those people subsequently getting huge fines really hits home. The arrogance.

WestwardHo1 · 03/10/2023 22:52

I thought it was excellent.

JenniferBooth · 03/10/2023 22:57

And the prosecutions are continuing WTF. Working class people have been disproportionately hit by these fines. Im horrified that many who agreed with the restrictions and claimed to be on the left couldnt see that and continued to call those of us who pointed this out all sorts of names.

Rita Ora had a party Her fine would have been chicken feed to her. Not so for a student though. Or anyone else like that guy with the £14,000 fine ALL fines need to rescinded and paid back
