Apparently there have been issues sharing videos on the SCD threads in the past so, to ensure it doesn’t interfere with the chat, here’s a thread just for your favourite SCD and SCD related videos.

I’ll start with an old fave, Shirley Ballas dancing a Rumba demo at a clinic with fellow ex-pro Michael Chapman.

I'm glad I record strictly the FF is a godsend. Anton did a nice Rumba his last year it wasn't horrible, Most of them are just ewww !

Rumba is tricky, but the mistake most people make is to try and be “sexy” instead of “sensual” - two very different things!

To me the only dance that should be “sexy” is the Argentine Tango - it’s the nature of its history, and I always think a good AT makes you feel like you’re intruding on a private moment between a couple!

I think it was either James and Cherie Lunghi or James and Dr Pamela Stephenson.

CRH gave 9s for both of those Rumbas according to Wikipedia.

He makes DVO look like a total novice, he puts every previous ringer in the shade. He's a professional dancer.

Sigh, I could just keep watching this over and over. That moment at the start where he brings her in, a little “wind up” and he just smiles… Heaven!

An early Vincent and Flavia, this was the year they became regulars though they had performed in the show previously.

I LOVE Jay and Aliona’s jive, that’s the week he won the show, week 2!

I loved Aliona, so sad she left, and Flavia is probably my all-time favourite pro.

For anyone new(ish) to SCD, for many years this was the high bar. I still rate this dance in the Top 5 ever performed on the show, from Series 2

@MavisMcMinty I’ll be honest it took me a good while to warm to Aliona. I remember Len tearing a strip off her for her choreography in her first season, he said something like she was just trying to make herself look good and ignoring her celebrity (think it was Rav Wilding?)

It was her kicky little practice kilt that got me hooked!

It's a lot of stomping and slut dropping but you're absolutely right: KGM is at a distinct disadvantage if this is the competition.

I do think however that the Strictly voting public are likely - as always - to knock out the pros before they knock out the underdog. Particularly when an underdog makes such a huge effort in the first weeks.

Bloody love Strictly - thanks for sharing such wonderful dancing memories throughout the years, and the addition of what the various dances should look like is really helpful!
