Apparently there have been issues sharing videos on the SCD threads in the past so, to ensure it doesn’t interfere with the chat, here’s a thread just for your favourite SCD and SCD related videos.

I’ll start with an old fave, Shirley Ballas dancing a Rumba demo at a clinic with fellow ex-pro Michael Chapman.

Still Soph and Brendan for me. The pure joy on Brendan's face throughout and the look of pride he gives her at the end always gets me.
I do miss Brendan actually. I still think him being fired unceremoniously, in favour of Shirl, was harsh given his tenure.

A friend has just messaged me to say he's going to Bangkok for a week. I immediately remembered the musical Chess and Murray Head singing "One night in Bangkok". I tried to link to a video but it seems I Cantdolinks either. The lyrics are brilliant and the music too, but it's very staccato and I'm not sure what dance would be suitable for it. Does anyone remember it and what dance would fit?

I love this choreo to it.

You could do a jazz routine CC or CCC or possibly Chacha/tango/paso fusion.

It's my favourite track and I was hoping someone would go for it but alas.
I knew Lakita couldn't as Nikita did a chess-themed tango with Tilly in black/white costumes. We've also had chess theming in Ashley and Pasha's tango and chess board being thrown in Karen and Will's tango as well as some chessography in Karen and Jamie's tango.

But yes - black and white adversaries - in a jazz, a fusion or a CCC would be awesome and get you through musicals week on the strength of the song alone. It's a banger!

Am posting this again because freestyles are coming up and I bloody love this one. My favourite freestyle ever!

If Dianne goes for anything like this in their showdance, Bobby might be the dark horse that comes galloping in at the end!

Reminder of Fleur and Vito's showdance. Vito fans should pay attention from 1.15 onwards when he really lets rip with his solo dancing - the high kick - and the facial intensity. There is also a lot of heavy breathing at the end.

Ah, Murray Head. Now his brother is someone I’d love to see on SCD!
