I have not yet and will not be voting for Layton. I have enjoyed watching some of his dances, but for me the I just don't see any real progress in the way the others have. I'm sorry for Angela that she is out - I think she is better than Bobby, Nigel and Annabelle and might have made the final if things had gone her way. Unfortunately her cha cha was not great and I'm not surprised she ended up in the DO.

I did vote for Layton as I thought there was a real risk that he'd be in the dance-off with Bobby and go home, which would be a travesty. Once I did the sums I realised that that wasn't a possibility.

Layton and Nikita on ITT with no shirts under their jackets...me no like.

That vote would put Bobby in the dance-off with Annabel and presumably going through unless he falls flat on his arse during the quickstep (not impossible at that speed).

1% more vote for Bobby would put him in the DO with Layton and going home. Honestly if I were him I'd be tempted to put the word out to all my friends and family to vote Layton this week.

How is Annabel topping that vote?

They love an underdog?
They want to put Layton in the dance off?
They feel sorry for her because her husband died - he was mentioned several times in her VT?
All of the above?

Annabel is the obvious one to go, she wouldn't win a dance off.

That would make it an Annabel and Layton dance off.

We shall see shortly, but I'd be really surprised if Annabel were below Bobby in the actual viewer vote. Annabel and Bobby or just possibly Bobby and Layton in the DO I reckon.

Split verdict with Anton and Motsi saving Bobby and Craig saving Annabel.

Annabel eliminated.

Correct result imo. That would mean the Entertainment odds poll provided a more accurate picture of the public vote.

Not really surprising.

I personally wasn't convinced by Bobby's QS but people on DS who know more about dance than me have pointed out the inappropriate levels of rise and fall in Annabel's VW which should be flat, so it's probably a fair decision.

I think this was the only outcome tonight.

I'm happy for Layton and Nikita. To get through to the final with only one dance-off is a pretty good result for such a mega-ringer. I think they'll be delighted to miss the DO this week because it was far from a certainty.

I’m a bit thick when comes to scores- So does that mean that Annabel didn’t get enough public votes or Judges votes meant Layton was a certainty? I’m ok with the former but pissed off if the latter.

Too late to edit my post, but even if Annabel did get enough votes so that she was top, as shown in Entertainment Odds, she would still be in the dance off if Layton was third and Bobby came last.

The only way Annabel would have escaped is if Layton had the least votes and she had the most, so that they would have the same combined score of 5, but pv takes priority.

I can’t remember one year to the next and have been watching almost from the start. Certainly Arlene was still there when I started watching.

Wasn’t so obsessive then as I had a social life on a Saturday. Now - not so much 😁

Annabel seemed to be getting a lot of votes each week - where they then transfer to is key to who is getting the glitterball. I think they will split between Ellie or Bobbie but can't see many Annabel voters now switching to Layton.

So I would say Bobby has more chance of winning than Layton.

I’m away next week and no idea if I’ll have WiFi but if I do my votes will probably be 2 for Ellie and 1 for Bobby. Had Annabel still been in all of my 3 votes would most likely have gone to her as imo she is what Strictly is about, though I may have thrown one to Ellie or Bobby.

No surprises there, I will probably give Ellie two and Bobby one next week, or else Ellie all three. Not voting for Layton but looking forward to hopefully seeing his AT again. He's such a great dancer, but on principle I cannot vote for him. It was an error by the producers putting him in to the show IMHO 🤷🏻‍♀️

My example was if Annabel had been top.

Disappointed that Annabel has gone, but not surprised. She was the weakest dancer, hardly surprising as the other three left are trained "performers". I am really not a Diane fan, I don't think she is nearly as strong on the choreo as someone like Katya and I think the mismatched heights between her and Bobby looks weird. He would have been much better with Nadia.

Still think Ellie will win. She comes across very well and there's the whole "are they aren't they" thing with Vito who clearly adores her.
