It's the sense of injustice that Ange got 32 points in the first place (no way was it worth 8s) and that - if they took the US model of no dance off/public votes only - she'd have been out already.
It happens every year. The public vote only gets you so far. People's Champions only get so far. Whereas in the US, someone like Bobby Bones can take the title,
we've only ever had Walking Wardrobe and Chris Hollins.
Personally, I can't get upset over this one because I gave Krish 3 votes both last week and this week and I'm still not over his Couple's Choice being so bad.
Jamie Laing got a samba bounce into his routine. Krish didn't.
Plus, sadly as with Jeremy, Ed, Susan et al, there's always a point when the sleb who's not that great begins to believe their own hype. Not saying that's happened here, but "thank you to the judges, they get what we're about, which may not be perfect dance technique but a lot of fun" will only get you so far in the current format.
I struggle with how Ange comes across and only liked the start of her paso, even then Kai is pushing it to Angelina Jolie's Leg extremes, I think if she'd have done a stronger promenade with drive (I don't know the technical term, sorry) then I'd have marked her higher. The judges have again seen something I haven't or were told to be generous.
