I'm hooked - really wish Vanessa would dial it down though! I was a big fan of her BBC radio show, she's a very bright woman, but she's definitely going to put viewers backs up!
Pretty slim pickings at the mixer for the girls - no good looking guys at all!
No wonder Lottie shagged Adam, the producers didn't really give her anyone else to distract her from him....

@Fourlegsandatail I'm with you about the new sex therapist, 'sex positive'? feel like that means you have to be doing everyone/everywhere/anyhow otherwise you're a Debbie Downer. To be fair she did suggest to Lottie to dial it down a notch (probably should have suggested dialling it down several notches!)

Never watched it till this series and am watching because of Vanessa. She is coming across awfully though. On both the dates shes been on so far. One of the counsellors or whatever they are said they never realised Vanessa was so aesthetically judgemental. Scrolling through her phone and walking out halfway through a meal/date.

Im NOT saying she owes them a relationship because no one owes anyone that but what about basic manners and courtesy.

So glad there’s a thread so I can talk about how rude Vanessa is! I’ve listened to her on the radio for years, she’s wonderful but I can’t believe how dismissive and quite unkind she is, has she not seen the show? Get some manners!

Lottie needs a good wash and I don’t believe her and Adam are genuine - it’s all for publicity.

Able to just about forgive her (get me) that she went over to Talk TV, but I am disappointed that she's being so rude and condescending. To be sneery to the smoked salmon guy, on her phone and then to just get up and leave.

To be fair anyone with eyes knew he wasn't going to be her type, but why not just say, I'm really sorry I don't think this is going to go anywhere shall we just enjoy dinner and then go our separate ways?

I like Spudz - he came across quite normal particularly on his second date. Thought the grinding at the mixer was a bit much, given he'd just met the poor woman.

Mark Francis is just like a pantomime villain. Knew he was not really interested in the blonde girl, despite what he said on the date.

I looked up past series contestants and they all pretty young things from Love Island, Made in Chelsea etc, with a random oldie thrown in, like Vanessa this year.

I've always quite liked Chloe. Absolutely everyone used to comment on the LI threads that's she sounded pissed / slurring. I don't find it too bad.

I’m watching too! Agree Vanessa is coming across as incredibly rude. I can’t work Mark Francis out at all, I wonder if he might be asexual. His relationships on MiC were never featured & he was so odd with that female date. Not sure about Chloe, she seems a bit of a mean girl/ agree Spudz seems the most genuine.

I’m actually enjoying Mark’s performance - I mean that’s what it is, upper class twat who looks down on everyone, but it’s still funny. Who knew it was bad manners to wear a short sleeved shirt to dinner? I love Tom, but that’s also a performance - I could listen to his voice all day.

Of course they had to shoehorn in a reference to Kate Moss, it’s probably in Lottie’s contract that she must have a conversation about her even though they are obviously not close.

Vanessa was better last night but only cos she found her date - sunglasses man - vaguely attractive, otherwise he would have got rudely shut down like the others.

I don’t find Adam that attractive to be honest. I much prefer Spudz as he’s funny & down to earth. I didn’t like the way Adam pushed his date to kiss him after she said he was on a kissing ban. I suppose to be fair she was fairly easily persuaded but I thought he seemed pushy & a bit desperate. I also read that he was accused of gaslighting while he was on LI (though haven’t watched it since 2017!).

Adam’s got a horrible weaselly face and yes his smoulder was gruesome! Looked like he was a crackhead posing for a mugshot. Dunno if it’s in Rob Beckett’s contract to big him up all the time, but I’d much rather go on a date with Spudz! At least he good fun and attractive in a cheeky chappy kind of way.

Vanessa was a cow to Mr Smoked Salmon, also am I alone in finding that an interesting and quirky business to work in (not to mention delicious 🤤), what would she prefer, some dull banker or show-off celeb type? Ugh.

I think Lottie actually quite liked Finton, and the sexpert pushed her into finishing it with him.
And I’m a little disappointed that Spuds gets it on with another woman next week, I thought he really liked Natalie.

Vanessa is so rude - it is truly cringe watching her. I too use to enjoy her Radio London show, but she is being really vile and dismissive on all of her dates apart the 3rd guy she dated. I am really shocked, maybe this is the real Vanessa unfortunately. You would surely just be pleasant until the date is over?

Yes I didn’t quite understand why she was being so confrontational about the Hawaiian pizza! I do understand that’s it’s annoying when you don’t get much back from a date but she seemed to quickly turn very cold on him. I saw a nicer side to Adam though when he didn’t make a move on the girl that he knew Spudz fancied. But maybe that’s just because he prefers Lottie!

Vanessa is a snob, and a bit passive aggressive. It was clear that she was crestfallen when the agents showed her the salmon guy on the screen. She should have maybe said 'not for me, thanks' Her heart clearly wasn't in it and I think she felt he wasn't a good match for her. Nowt wrong with that. It's still early days really since her break up, and the 'reality' of being an older person in the dating pool can be sobering at best and crushing at worst. I think when it's been almost 2 decades since you last dated it can be quite a rude awakening.

Sinitta last year was gifted some pretty dodgy matches. IIRC she was very sweet and gracious on the dates.

That’s so true about Sinitta @RainbowZebraWarrior . Even the guy she liked was a bit of a berk, turning up to a date in flip flops & then dashing off because he was so important. They don’t have a great track record finding dates for older women on CGD, Ukrika was another one. But as you say there weren’t rude like Vanessa!
