Les Dennis looks like the obvious first boot even if his partner goes full on comedy bad dancer routine.

I think Les Dennis is going to be a bit like marmite with the voting public ?

I think Les will do well but if he gets kicked out early he can go back to performing in 42nd St for the audience who are expecting to see him! I would have thought Krishnan out first.

Krishnan is 5’9” so might be quite a tidy dancer. Tall people have more limb to try to control. I quite like Les Dennis, he made me laugh a few times on Twitter, but demographically, unless he’s a brilliant dancer (and he might be), he’s a prime target for early eviction.

She didn't even turn up to the Celebrity Big Brother Final when he came second. He'd been depressed throughout as they were either splitting up at the time, had already split up or him being emotional all week was the final nail in the coffin.

Nigel Harman was Shrek to her Fiona, so it would be amazingly awkward if she went to cheer him on. Unlikely though, given she's an ITV name and also because the press are re-running her and Les's marriage details atm. Amanda and Les are not in touch but nor do they harbour ill-will in interviews, water under the bridge, it's two decades ago.

Bottom line - 18 year age-gap - she married very young (24 to his 42) and it imploded after five years. Both are remarried and have been with their partners for years now so it would be Claire Nicholson in the audience.

I have a completely irrational dislike of Les Dennis. I have no idea why. Maybe Strictly will help me overcome it

I'm usually the opposite- there's almost always someone i love at the start who irritates me hugely by the end 😅

Les can probably dance, being of that old-school entertainer type.

I've said before, i can totally understand the Strictly curse, as well as Hollywood stars falling in love on set.

Oh, totally! Dancing is a very sexy intimate thing. I know two professional dancers and they both see sex as just another dance style!

That's an interesting and very open interview. They did seem very close during the show - closer than we imagined his partner would be happy with.

Since when do Strictly do NDAs or does he mean it's libellous to say they were both smitten? Awks. They did the tour together for a couple of months. I assume that's when he and Paul were also on a break. But yes, that part of the interview is very honest/raw. Crush, cliché or the real thing, I can see how confusion can occur if you're not both dancers used to the physicality/not in open relationships already. (I'm awful, I see three bloody handsome men and just think thrupple). Johannes had spoken of being in love with dancing again because of John and being in love with the man (but that came across as platonic). You can love a person without it going further.
It's awkward though if unrequited emotions/limerence rears its ugly head. Hell. it's awkward if you have to work with someone when you've split. I assume Gio and Jowita will be professional around each other. They aren't the first or last to have dallied then had to dance alongside each other. Kristina had a fling with Vincent (he'd made out he wasn't in a relationship but then had to come clean at the end of the tour that his gf was four months pregnant. Ouch). Camilla/Vincent worked alongside Brendan/Flavia. Difficult though.
I hope Hamza and Jowita dance again in the launch show. I keep thinking I'll see him do something new but Strictly hasn't launched him in the way it opens doors for others, same as it didn't for Joe McFadden. Unless Hamza has something in the works, I've missed it, or he's turned down opportunities. I thought he'd do lots of presenting this year as he was such a popular contestant.
