Omg. Tonight’s Lola’s death was beautifully done. I sobbed. Im away - blondes in the sun - A great look round the pool !!

Lily is now maybe 6mths preg and still no ss about 🙄🙄

Denise and Jack made up and Chelsea and Ravi are making out

I think that's the point though. Takes the focus away from the death, as it would be utterly depressing watching everyone grieve for weeks at a time. The new family didn't know her so they can be a change of scene and be established while the others pause their drama for a couple of weeks.

Still can't believe it's Colin Salmon. I'll have to do some googling to see why he's doing EE

I think casting him as an ex boxer is actually genius. A very famous actor playing a well-known person makes it less jarring, as the men are all fan boying and the women either love his charisma or aren't impressed.
This isn't a spoiler, but he will presumably have a huuuuge storyline since they'll be wanting to make good use of having a great actor.

I actually didn't realise how tall he was until he almost took up all the space inside the caff 😳

There were lots of boxing rings around the east end in the 70s and 80s ( don't know about now )
It seems credible to me , plus it also links in to Sharon and Phil's place as well , probs the reason that's been changed from a normal gym to a boxing one a while back.
It shows how far ahead they film and write the scripts!

Totally credible. There are various local boxers around here who have HUGE fans, yet I wouldnt have a clue who they were

This is a great point of view of course they are going to give a huge actor a huge personality. I did laugh at Whitney being all giddy, I mean i would be the same 😃

Does anyone else remember Colin Salmon in Prime Suspect in the 90s? First time I'd ever seen him. He's aged well. He's the same age as me, not sure I can say the same. 😢

He is a fine looking chap, for sure. Can't work out if he's going to be a goodie or a baddie yet. I did wonder if what Jack saw was just one of his boxing fights rather than a street assault.

I wonder if Ben was supposed to be away or the actor was off sick or something it was really random that he flew off for a cure last minute.

Apparently Max Bowden unexpectedly lost his best friend to an undiagnosed brain tumour in 2021. Lola's whole storyline has been really painful for him, understandably, and I guess her actual near-dying scenes were a step too far for him to cope with.

Wow. Fair play to him, being so involved in that storyline must have been very difficult for him. 😥

The arrival of the two sisters from Spain reminded me of when Ronnie & Roxy arrived back from Ibiza.

Also, WHY do Soaps always have adult children move wherever their parents move to - and into the same house too?! In reality I can't see those two girls choosing Walford over Marbella! 😄

Yes indeedy , Denny's dad was Dennis Rickman (son of Dirty Den Watts who is Sharon's adoptive Dad but as there's no blood lines then in Eastenders , having a baby with your would -be Step Brother is fair game)

Sharon believed she was infertile after a termination so when she went to an emergency hospital visit she discovered she was indeed pregnant

She met up with Dennis while the New Years Eve bells rang out , then he slumped after being pushed by a random rough looking bloke . Turned out he was stabbed by one of Johnnny Allens thugs and bled to death on the pavement ...Sad
