I can't help it - I just have to make little comments all the time.... mostly to do with the complete incompetence of some of the adults....
auntie Mabels carbon footprint must be huge just why does she use her plane to go down the shops??
I'm sorry but I really don't think Mickey John would pass an ofsted inspection - no lesson planning and what school secretary does teachers marking?? and don't get me started on dr. juno who cleaned the hospital the other day... and granny murray had her mindees cleaning her house!!
and just who was the idiot that employed pc plum?? the man is a buffoon whom I witnessed tracking his own footprints the other day
I could go on...... help me please!!

auntie mabels house looks like it smells bad! - i think i've got the same problem as you

HairyToe · 18/02/2008 21:32

! I love Aunty Mabel's house. I want to be 7 again and for her to be my Gran and I can spend sunny afternoons in the garden playing with Pippin before a nice jam sandwich and milk at her lovely sunny kitchen table...

HairyToe · 18/02/2008 21:34

Granny Murray on the otherhand slightly sinister... wouldn't like to be sent down to her basement sweatshop

nancy75 · 18/02/2008 21:37

and are pc plum and miss hooley "an item" ive noticed a few lingering looks! (god i need a life)

gingerninja · 18/02/2008 21:38

LOL, I caught the Carry and David Grant thing earlier. What is that programme all about and why them? They're about the least charismatic presenters I've ever seen. Had me watching from behind a cushion

tortoiseSHELL · 18/02/2008 21:39

Aha you need this site

bigmouthstrikesagain · 18/02/2008 21:40

I do find myself musing about Raymond and Tina's clearly sham marriage (in Me Too)... I mean really???

Aunty mabel is a star though - won't hear a word against her sorry.

But I do worry about the feasibilty of the Big Cook Litle Cook Cafe - it is obviously a USP to personalize each dish to their customers - but sometimes they can take over a day to prepare a meal!? And one customer at a time? No way to run a restaurant!!!

JingleyJen · 18/02/2008 21:40

And I am really sorry to say it but is there a single blind vegetable market stall holder in the country?

I love the fact that Aunty Mabel goes to the library down the road from the IL's and uses the bus route DS used going to school
Was a little wierd that she was able to fly her little aircraft to london Zoo the other day.

SammyC · 18/02/2008 21:41

I have a thing for Andy one of the presenters on Cbeebies............any one else?? think I need to get a job ha ha.........

mumclaire · 18/02/2008 21:42

I'm sorry nancy but I'm not really convinced pc plum likes miss hooleys (purely on the basis of his eyebrows!?) - I think he has thing for archie personally...

You are right about Mickey John, mumclaire - I saw an ep where he took a child to casualty because of an asthma attack, and wanted to know if he'd done the right thing?? Erm, no, you've abandoned the other 29 kids and failed to contact his mother. And his diction makes me ashamed to be Welsh "I've gorr-oo fix it...", for goodness sake man, you're a teacher, speak properly!

Miss Hoolie is worse in Balamory; she never changes those minging green clothes and never knows who is coming to her nursery - doesn't she have a register??!!

Er...yes, we take it too seriously

nancy75 · 18/02/2008 21:43

bigmouth, that really anoys me about big cook little cook, by the time they've had a story, found a recipe, whizzed round the world on a spoon - i definately wouldnt go there for my lunch!

GooseyLoosey · 18/02/2008 21:43

My dcs are obsessed by what sex each of the characters in In the Night Garden are. They argue about it - particularly Macca Pacca and I find that I actually become involved in these discussions. This is particularly disturbing when the only thing I really want to know about In the Night Garden characters is how long it would take to throttle them.

nancy75 · 18/02/2008 21:44

oh mumclaire, ive been getting myself all ready for the hooley/plum wedding and now my hopes are dashed - how could you

KristinaM · 18/02/2008 21:45

do you know that granny murray has two small children of her own...where are they when she is childminding?????? very suspicious

KristinaM · 18/02/2008 21:46

iggle piggle is male

bigmouthstrikesagain · 18/02/2008 21:47

Exactly Nancy - yet there is always a huge queue outside

mumclaire · 18/02/2008 21:49

Oh! don't get me started on ITNG - just what is up with the incompetent parenting by the pontypines - I can imagine what mrs pontypine would post on mumsnet - aibu to keep losing all my children??
and upsy daisy - talk about loose morals and makka pakka and his ocd
my dd is going to grow up warped and sarcastic!

OP posts:
GooseyLoosey · 18/02/2008 21:49

Kristina - I have said that to the dcs and they ask how I know and I say that the narrator refers to him as "he", they say, "well how does he know, how can you tell?", there I must confess, I am at a loss.

HairyToe · 18/02/2008 21:51

If granny murray has two small children of her own why is she called granny murray?

Feenie · 18/02/2008 21:51

My friend is convinced that the Tombliboos are Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy's offspring, given the family resemblance and all the kissing those pair do! Yep, Makka Pakka def has OCD, look at his piles of stones tidying thing.

mumclaire · 18/02/2008 21:53

tortoiseshell - thats a brill site!!

So is it just me that thinks the Numberjacks are some sort of totalitarian organisation? 'We've got to put things BACK TO NORMAL' so we will use our brainwashing machine...

lazarou · 18/02/2008 22:00

Our Planet pisses me right off. The planet is beautiful, but that show makes it look dull as ditchwater.
And those bloody brats they have on it annoy me, 'there are more animals for you to see'
Oh feck off

skyatnight · 18/02/2008 22:05

Re. ITNG, I read like this:
Iggle Piggle and UpsyDaisy are the toddlers or 2-3s (as dd's nursery would call them). The Tombliboos are the babies (about 1.5 years old). The Pontipines are dolls in the dolls house. Makka Pakka is the parent figure. He is male (cos of the pronoun used) and he is a bit OCD. Upsy Daisy is the kind of girl who would show you her knickers in the playground. Iggle Piggle is a bit gormless.

Grannie Murray IS very scary - that fixed false grin and the over-accentuation of her Scottish accent and little dialect words. And what's with all the neon, multi-coloured clothes? Either colour-blind or trying to deflect attention from something sinister.

My favourite is Jakers. And my favourite character is 'Dannen' (sp?) the girl duck with the strong Irish accent.
