I can't help it - I just have to make little comments all the time.... mostly to do with the complete incompetence of some of the adults....
auntie Mabels carbon footprint must be huge just why does she use her plane to go down the shops??
I'm sorry but I really don't think Mickey John would pass an ofsted inspection - no lesson planning and what school secretary does teachers marking?? and don't get me started on dr. juno who cleaned the hospital the other day... and granny murray had her mindees cleaning her house!!
and just who was the idiot that employed pc plum?? the man is a buffoon whom I witnessed tracking his own footprints the other day
I could go on...... help me please!!

And I FUCKING HATE Pinkydinkydoo

Has Clifford the Big Red Cunt been put down yet?

SheikYerbouti · 19/02/2008 14:31

Also, insurance in Pontypandy must be through the fucking roof.

And Dilys Price and Trevor Evens are having it off

AdamAnt · 19/02/2008 14:35

Has anyone noticed that the animals in Mama Mirabelle's home movies are in denial about the fact that they are destined to kill and eat each other?

ArmadilloDaMan · 19/02/2008 14:35

Nah imo Dilys would like to have it off with Trevor but he is really not interested, as is having passionate affair with Bella.

TBH Dilys would take anyone if they offered.

madamez · 19/02/2008 14:35

When I first started paying attention to Cbeebies (Ie DS got too old to be fobbed off with MTV all day) I took particular exception to BCLC and suggested to DS dad that in fact BC uses LC as his anal dildo when the cafe shuts.

scattercushion · 19/02/2008 14:36

I love the number raps! But should I really to look on the website even tho dd is napping?

ArmadilloDaMan · 19/02/2008 14:37

That would explain a lot.

Also it disturbs me that every episode BC gets over excited with his mixing/whisking/wanking and spurts LC all over his face. Usually with 'yoghurt'

mumclaire · 19/02/2008 14:38

Ah Lazy Town - where yet again the kids seem to be far more intelligent than the adults - the most incompetent being the supposed mayor - I wouldn't vote for him....and why oh why can't anyone see through robbie rottens pathetic 'disguises'. And why do they put it on first thing in the morning?? I can't deal with that amount of energy on top of my 2 yr old... I am concerned that 'sports candy' actual contains some form of dodgy GM ingredient...
Can't believe I've missed out on these tweenie safety episodes!! When are they on???

Rustie · 19/02/2008 16:04

How come no one's mentioned those two smarmy sods from Big Cook, Little Cook (which is the tasteful version of what I usually call it when DS's out of earshot). AND they present on the Nuts TV channel in the evening...

Rustie · 19/02/2008 16:09

Oh, I see...Big Cock, Little Cock is referred to as BCLC. Stoopid.

TillyScoutsmum · 19/02/2008 16:17

Sherk - we also have the "He's PC Plum and he takes it up the bum" song... (not in front of the children obviously

Did anyone see Little Cook on that programme called "Fuck me, I'm Ginger" ?? I can't watch BCLC now without thinking about it...

ITNG is genius but what's with Upsy Daisy's inflatable skirt ?? Is it for Iggle Piggle's easy access ?? I reckon she's a bit of a trollop imho

Sunshinemummy · 19/02/2008 16:49

Agree re. Daisy - she is a total hussy and not good enough for poor, simple Iggle Piggle imo.

Sidge · 19/02/2008 22:18

I think Tina (Me Too) is actually a man in drag.

And why does Balamory have Edie McCredie's Transport service?? There are only 2 roads and about 12 houses there; you could walk round it in 10 minutes.

Rustie - Cliff Tumble was the funniest thing I have seen on TV in a long time, I cried laughing! Justin is a very talented mimic

UnquietDad · 19/02/2008 22:58

Tortoise, that site is very funny, especially about Balamory.

It seems lots of parents have had the same conversations about

  • Miss Hoolie's fantasy world, Plummie and Archie's "special relationship" (and the "I'm PC Plum and I like it up the bum" song), and the way Pocket and Sweet have a benefit scam going on by claiming carers' allowance for each other.
  • The creepiness of "Granny" Murray, the weirdness of her having a dog as a mindee and the oddness of the work schedules of the other inhabitants of "River-by-Dingle" (the doctor never goes to work/comes home in the dark, for example, and the teacher never has to stay for departmental meetings).
  • Auntie Mabel's standards of hygiene and massive carbon footprint.

etc.

chrissnow · 20/02/2008 15:27
  1. Leave off Max ok!! He's the 2nd best thing on CBeebies
  2. I agree with everything else.
  3. I think the only sensible thing to do with CBeebies is to change it to JustinBeebies. No-one would complain . (apart from my DH who once made a disparraging remark about him and was threatened with DIY vasectomy and immediate divorce if he ever said such things again
Mum1369 · 20/02/2008 15:37

I used to feel the same about cbeebies, now DS1 has 'progressed' (using the word ironically) to Nick junior. Missing the delightful insanity of it all - have to cope with Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go !!!! Two insufferable do gooders who save the animals. DS1's main phrase this week is, 'mummy there's an aminal in trouble' - he's 2.5 - GET A GRIP SON
Not to mention it's all bl**dy american and spanish - he insist on calling Z - zee...arrrggghhhh, bring back Justin

yama · 20/02/2008 15:45

My favourite part of ITNG is when the tittifers sing. I love it.

I also love the number raps.

Nina2 · 20/02/2008 20:14

Sooo glad it's not just me!

DS (14m) in in love with Blue Cow. Mind you, he also thinks that the 8 o'clock pips on Radio 2 and the sound made by Grandpa's electric carving knife are hilarious so no accounting for taste.

Nina and the Neurons - arghhhh, don't get me started, especially with the name thing.

Upsy Daisy - a complete trollop and Iggle Piggle is just so wet. And why don't the Tomblyboos (sp?) use water or toothpaste and isn't Macca Pacca really just cleaning the Haaboos (again sp?) genitals, since there is no chance of reaching their faces?!

It's not even as though I don't have a life, in fact I'm trying to fit in several, so why does it annoy me so much ?

monkeypie · 20/02/2008 20:39

oh yes i am on board the same ship as you all. I do understand that most of the characters wear the same clothes so the younger kids recognise them more easy but seriously would you not push for better outfits!!?? Nina (and the N) GM (me too) Miss Hoolie.... i could go and on. Also whats with Hoolies hair?? As if her face needs any more attention bringing to it!!

PC Plum proper winds me up with his no top lip antics.
My DS is a fanatic of Charlie and Lola and i too am a big fan, i could eat Lola as she is so cute....BUT!!! The social services need to be called as they are allowed to do so much on there own. Poor Charlie is main carer and has to cook, cheer up, read to, look after when ill, teach to ride a bike, get ready for school his little sister. His bloody mother should get her arse out of bed and make the poor little sod some breakfast. Just because Charlie is very intelligent (square) for his age there's no need for the parents to take advantage. Ok Rant over

Phoenix · 20/02/2008 20:51

My ds has just turned 2 and i used to avoid c beebies and laugh at my friends with older dc's who had it on constantly. I now have it on most of the day and am that i actually sit there and watch it myself and know all the songs too

My ds' faves are Numberjacks, Finley The Fire Engine, Teletubbies and ITNG. Iggle Piggle is slowly taking over our house

Joekate · 21/02/2008 11:11

I think that Chris on the bedtime hour looks like a clown who's taken off his makeup to find he still has funny lips underneath. I do find myself singing that song though...Oh the time has come etc etc

HairyToe · 21/02/2008 11:50

The characters all wear the same clothes to assist in marketing the associated merchandise (cynic alert)

CBeebies fact - did you know that Miles Hunt from the Wonderstuff wrote the theme tune, sings then theme tune to Underground Ernie?

Vulgar · 21/02/2008 16:41

When I see Clifford the big Red Dog I always imagine the big poos he must do.

SpacePuppy · 21/02/2008 21:28

Oh fuck I've just realised I know who you are talking about. The other day I picked up a tabloid at the hairdressers and I did not recognise any of the celebrities, however, I know the cbeebies crowd!

Santiago · 21/02/2008 22:17

Does anyone else think the tombliboos are a non violent cuddly version of Harry Enfield's scousers?
I am a scouser by the way.
