Just watching her doing the interviews on The Apprentice. What a total caricature!!

I actually think Claude and the other chap were excellent in their questions, very specific and grilling down, it was still an inquisition

I think the girls found it easier to cry to Karren as she has been with the girls throughout the entire process. It's easier to become vulnerable to someone when they have been through with you every step of the way.

But yes - the show needs to up it's game and get back to the format of early days. Thrtr used to be some genuinely interesting tasks especially the home shopping channel one

Karren has been totally up herself all series - I think she feels superior to Tim as well as he is a former apprentice candidate. I actually love him - he has the no nonsense but not nasty vibe that Margaret Mountford had - show has gone downhill fast since she left.

I like Richard Littlejohn as an interviewer. He has clearly done his homework very thoroughly - loved the map of the gyms - he's direct but not rude and has on occasion in the past been quite complimentary when a business plan has been well put together.

Apprentice has been awful this year. But yeah I agree Karen was dreadful.

The business plans were absolutely rubbish, I mean come on how can you legit walk in asking for £250k and not even have basic figures down. I dont blame the interviewers their time is being wasted and its all laughable really.

I've not been watching this season but caught last night's episode, just by mistake..... dear God, I despair!!! The whole thing seems to be a giant caricature of itself.

And the candidates - never seen so much Botox, fake tan and false eyelashes in one room. And all of them living up to the cliche, pretty much admitting they don't understand numbers and their business plans are sh*t.

Is this what young female entrepreneurs to aspire to?

Yes, same here - the dragons can be very blunt and straight to the point when somebody hasn't got a clue, but it's always respectfully done. And on the odd occasion when Touker one of them does stray slightly across the line, one of the other dragons will always pull them up on it.

The unsuccessful pitchers always leave on good terms, having been politely and pleasantly turned down and usually wished well; the only time I can remember when the Goodbye was more 'neutral' was the ones who were in the line of flogging implants to people with low self-esteem.

Yes, as PP said, the interviews are pantomime, but I get the impression that the others switch back to 'nice' mode afterwards, whereas I'm not sure that she even knows what one of those is.

It's obvious why they won't have Tim doing the interviews anytime soon - I just cannot imagine him having it in him to be that mean, even when play-acting!

It looks like she agreed to be mean somewhat against her better judgement.
I genuinely think they need an extra episode, where they share the business plans of those have been eliminated cos they couldn't run fast enough, or were talked over constantly or whatnot.
The entire thing is flawed but now is farce.

Many many moons ago, much to my shame now, I worked for a company that set up 0898 chat lines and other dodgy things. Karen Brady was a name from that time period. She was part of a company that was quite seedy. This was back in the late 90s.

I don't think that's the real her. She was quite self-deprecating with the hair extensions joke and she's been self-deprecating on You're Fired. I think that's who she really is and the bitch boss thing is just a role she plays for the show. It would actually explain why she's not very good at it. I don't think a real bitch boss would let you call her by her first name for ages and then suddenly pull her title on you when you have a serious conversation. She's more of a caricature than a genuine bully boss.

I meant early 90s when she was associated with Daily Sport newspapers.

The final candidates were the worst ever , and Karen Brady was awful , i think she was being herself.
It would be refreshing to see a different type of candidate to the usual plastic , shallow clones we see of late on the apprentice.

Highlighted a massive class problem, was uncomfortable to watch.

I wonder what the other business plans were like - surely at least some of them must have been better than the ones that were presented last night?

I have zero business experience but even I know that a business plan needs to include all your costs - overheads, rent, stock, staff costs etc - and projected income (which needs to have at least one toe in reality).

Are they allowed to get advice on their business plan (before they arrive on the show) - and if so, why didn’t anyone point out the glaring errors in their plans?

Agree with what's been said. I was particularly upset about Victoria as I liked her. The criticism of her spelling and grammar was horrible. It is a class thing. Or a lack of formal education. And you'd think they'd give them a bit of basic coaching and someone to check over the plan before the interviews - that wd be more interesting.

There was no excuse for Victoria’s spelling and grammar mistakes - we don’t have Office (Word) on our laptop as it’s too expensive and just use the free Google apps and even that typing app has spellcheck - my primary school age son knows that if the word has a red squiggle underneath then he needs to click on it and it corrects the spelling.

I remember her name, but the girl who left by choice on episode 2 or 3. I'd have been interested to see how she would have fared in the interviews. The bridal shops she has are local to me, and appear pretty successful.

Just watching it now. Karen's horrendous but these business plans are pants!
