This starts Wednesday week on BBC1 (22 March).

Anyone want to join me on a thread about it? I saw some episodes of the previous two series but didn't watch them all and am kicking myself about it now because it really is such an interesting and beautifully shot reality series.

So am going to watch the whole of the next one - this time in Canada!

Hooray! I loved the previous series 😊

Canada is pretty simple since it has one massive road right through it 🤣

I'm in anyway

I'm guessing that the waypoints will be in the squiggly bits round the edges. Huskies may be involved.

TokyoSushi · 15/03/2023 16:02

Just watching Season 1 Episode 1 as I started watching properly for Season 2. Did they really travel London to Singapore? Wow!

User478 · 15/03/2023 16:06

I assume their budget will be $0 or something? Or they could just hop on the train/hire a car.

Quadrilingual · 15/03/2023 18:27

Maybe they will go to the mainly French speaking regions like Quebec to add in the language barrier challenge. Hope so!

Piggywaspushed · 15/03/2023 18:37

The trailers did indeed suggest Husky .

I think they will make sure they have to go through wilderness. And maybe the ones we all can't warm to will be eaten by Grizzlies.

QuintanaRoo · 15/03/2023 18:40

Excellent I loved both previous series especially the last one in South America.

Choconut · 15/03/2023 18:43

I loved Jo and her son Sam in series 2, hope they get some interesting people for series 3.

cornflakegeneration · 15/03/2023 18:47

Ooh amazing! I loved the first series but didn't watch the second. Will set it up to record - thanks for the heads up!

KrasiTime · 15/03/2023 21:43

CrapBucket · 15/03/2023 22:06

I'm in, love this show!

Rocketpants50 · 15/03/2023 22:10

They were discussing on radio the other day and apparently all got given bear spray just incase they came across a grizzly.

KrasiTime · 16/03/2023 06:21

Many years ago driving through Canada came across several parked cars with people on side of the road. Black bear on the side at a distance. What a sight to watch him.

Also while sightseeing some lakes there were near bear traps up high in the trees.

JustDanceAddict · 16/03/2023 07:55

Can’t wait! I watched the first two in covid times and loved them.
Canada won’t be as tough as South America or SE Asia I think they were in the first series but maybe that was picked due to covid restrictions?

SUBisYodrethwhenLarping · 16/03/2023 08:17

Thank you for the thread

Imisscoffee2021 · 16/03/2023 08:19

Adore this series, and find them so rewatchable, they're all on iPlayer @LindorDoubleChoc

EddieHoweisMYmanager · 16/03/2023 08:22

Love this show, DD and I are going to apply to be on S4!

User478 · 16/03/2023 08:24

I just heard an advert for it on the radio, it said "on iPlayer" from Wednesday, does this mean it's not going to be on live tv? That's a bit of a shame for them.

(Although I suppose I usually watch things on iPlayer rather than live so it doesn't really matter)

KnittingNeedles · 16/03/2023 08:28

9pm Wednesday, BBC 1.

And I suspect that the Canada thing is covid-related, it's must be a nightmare to navigate multiple country requirements for vaccinations and precautions, keeping it all in one country makes sense.

Yiayoula · 16/03/2023 08:30

I’m in - just settling to rewatch the first series .
Looking forward to the new one, and to this thread . Thanks for starting it, OP .

WalkingInArgentière · 16/03/2023 08:40

@Theredjellybean I agree about Canada. Hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it. Maybe the landscape will make up for the lack of challenges.

Love your username. Are you Greek by any chance? My real name has an ‘oula’ on the end.
