I was score checking- very tight scoreline for Stef and the Tache man . I read that Stef is really treating these tournaments as re-hab for his sohulder, so he wasn't expecting too much.

Matteo also lost- odd score line. I did have a feeling Daniel would be a tricky customer, and poor Matteo doesn't really seem to be able to catch a break, really.

Might watch Draper vs Evans this evening. Could be an interesting match and at least it's a cert that a Brit will win

I might watch the Evans/Draper match later - I still haven’t watched any yet. DH and DS1 have managed to tunnel out of the snow and are hopefully on their way to London for the rugby - I’m not ready to venture out yet!

Jane Matteo really was shafted by Covid. he was just starting to get back into a decent run of results last summer. Hopefully, he can do the same this year. The grass courts suit him- and it would be great to see him at Wimbledon again.

The Unvaxxed one is untouchable- although he would probably say he has been the one most affected because the Big Meanies won't let him play everywhere. Diddums.

I'm worried Matteo is the new Grigor Raahh. I'd love to see him return to form. Mind you with all the injuries at the moment he has a better chance of moving up the ranks.

Jane there are definitely Grigor similarities- his career was doing well, intil he won the tour finals. It's been down hill (with the odd decent result) ever since.
Matteo has chances to do better later , if he can stay fit. Presumaby there will be points at Wimbledon this year- so if he can stay fit, he ought to be in with a good chance there.
