I don't mind Clare as much as some do. Anchoring a show is very different to being a commentator or just an interviewer. She is a 'safe' pair of hands, with experience of many types of live broadcast.

Jane I watched a bit of Crufts. My dog always sulks- schnauzers never win and there are too many daft looking poodles that do . I think Clare is in her element around the dogs.

I gave up on Prime last night.

been looking at the draw for today/tonight- might be a tricky opener for Casper against Diego. Matteo is playing Taro Daniel, who has had some steady results recently (including a win over Ruud). I will see if I atually get to watch anything later!

Fortunately, we have little in the way of snow- it was very windy and wet/sleet over night- but not much really stuck, and it all melted on hard ground. So I'm happy with that .

This is how deep the snow is here! DS1 decided not to go to Manchester - he would probably still be stuck on the M62! I’m fed up of it now!

Despite it snowing most of the day yesterday we only have snow on the mountains. My daffodils have mostly managed to withstand the battering. The WiFi went off last night and has just come back.

We never really get anything like that- I think the last time was about 2010. A few weeks ago, it was the worst for a few years- but even that was only 3/4 inches or so. Don't blame your ds for not venturing out!

You will be relieved to hear, Doctors isn't on on a Friday. (But don't be tempted by the latest Father Brown series, it wasn't much good ).

I'm going to watch the last Father Brown this afternoon, although it has certainly gone downhill I don't mind Mrs Devine (I liked the actress in Larkrise) and the frisson she has with the inspector but Brenda sets my teeth on edge!!

I saw the first set of Murray last night before bed. Another bloody 3 setter over3 hours! He likes making it difficult for those watching himself!!

I've been watching the Casper/Diego match- first set closer than the score suggested, but the second set is pretty one way for Casper.
He is looking very smart in lilac.
