I'm baffled that we've got posters saying maybe Rob wasn't abusive, he was going to rape her. We saw it.
It's as dangerous as the idea that Tommy didn't really rape Becky.
I don't mean to sound snappy but please stop it. Just because it's TV doesn't mean there aren't women reading this who may be put off reporting a sexual assault

I completely agree.

I think part of the reason for this though is that people are so used now to having everything explicit on TV, that when things are more subtle (as HV is), people then assume it leaves things open to interpretation rather than it being clear (just wasn't explicitly shown).

He was definitely going to attack / rape Jo in episode one. It was horrible and set the tone for the rest of the episodes and what happened with the pills / Faisal etc. Especially as she needed more of them.

On s2 e6. They now know Vicky wasn't the same killer

Why on Earth didn't they check Vicky's phone and her calls and texts and pics (of him dressed up in feather boa) and again what started all this

Vicku called the policeman John from her phone many times

Why didn't they suss this out weeks ago

They did ask John why his name was in her contacts. I'm pretty sure she'd deleted the photos

I am almost certain John burned her phone in the fire. But can’t the police still trace calls /texts via the network provider🤷🏻‍♀️

But they would have been on record of sms texts/pics on her phone bill etc

She sends what 4/6 pics to his number a day or so before she went missing and died

As well as the phone calls to him And his to her phone

It's weird what you pick up watching again years later

Vicky called John’s landline as well. Maybe a bit of a plot hole. Being generous, maybe these things take time to come through from network providers and they’d already figured it was him. Not sure why John didn’t work out that there was already evidence linking them given his job.

That was for ann to pick his brains over being a detective

Watched all 3 series in last couple of weeks - ready for tomorrow. Wasn't expecting Happy Valley to be so brutal. Must say he did look good though when he came out in the red and black cycling gear.

Me too. I’ve been resisting as I’m not that into police dramas but I’m from Happy Valley (I’m even on there in my car in S2) so thought I’d give it a go and I’m hooked - didn’t realise it’s so good! It has an additional layer of recognising the places and hearing people speak like me. Even the surnames are of families living here (not my surname though).

One of the actors (sorry, can't remember which) has said that the final episode has a melancholy feel about it, which makes me wonder if one of the goodies dies. Hope it's not our Catherine.
