I have tickets to his play, A Little Life. I really didn't like the book in the end, although it's beautifully written. DH persuaded me to book tickets. I've never been that taken by JN in his other roles, but think he's amazing as TLR - he embodies evil.

That was so chilling all because he didnt get a rise, but he offered to cover both girls entire schooling!

JN was also brilliant in Grantchester...roll on Sunday again! I'm gutted it is only 2 more episodes to go. Has anyone seen Sarah Lancashire being interviewed about HV? JN was on the One Show last week but he was also talking about his play that is coming out...

Agree that TLR has to die. It's not enough he's in prison for life as we know that even in prison he can escape/still contact Ryan/manipulate everyone around him.

For some reason I’m suddenly wishing there could be some supernatural happening that puts an end to him! Alien abduction, or the earth opening up and devouring him.

But I imagine there’s a reason we were told about the asbestos …

Well as someone who grew up avidly watching the X-Files I'd have totally put my hand up if I was offered the role as a police officer 🙋🏼‍♀️👽

There's an interview with the teacher and an ex police woman on YouTube mostly talking about Sarah but it seems to get cut off abruptly before the end and the interviewer has a really annoying loud voice!

If it were real life Catherine and Ryan would be killed, TL would escape but be convicted some years in the future for another heinous crime while on the run, the two goons would be killed, just two more low life gangsters losing their lives, their boss Knezevic will go on to further riches.
Faisal will kill himself as he can't live with the guilt ( or his nagging wife ), Neckbeard will be accused of Joanna's murder but won't be convicted because there isn't enough evidence against him.
Hopefully it won't be true to life and we get a happy ending. 🤞it's not called Happy Valley for nothing.

I wondered if anyone else had picked this up about the bungee jumping (sorry, haven’t managed to read entire thread). I am expecting the climax to take place somewhere high. Leeds has had a lot of cranes in recent years but I haven’t noticed any shots of them though.
That’s a thought about the roof but I don’t know if it would be high enough for certain death?

Jos phone is in a space between two kitchen cabinets, maybe where the tea towels are hung. It lit up when Neckbeard phoned it, but it was on silent so didn't ring.

You'd think the first thing a missing person's investigator would do is put the phone number in the system to locate it before the battery goes flat.

I think a phone will only vibrate if that option is chosen. I know my dds is on silent and doesn't vibrate (much to our annoyance)

What I’m thinking is - logically TLR must be planning to take Ryan with him, wherever he’s going, if he envisages any future with him. Surely even a psychopath couldn’t expect a schoolboy to get on a plane to go and meet a famously escaped convict? (Though Ryan did bunk off school and get on a train …)

So how’s that going to happen? Unless they’ve already agreed a meeting place (which I refuse to believe) - what? Is he going to phone him and say “Meet me at the skydiving place 2.30pm tomorrow”?
