Yeah I think the police would have Catherine and Ryan in protection with TLR on the loose?
Yeah the text message to the little phone went over the heads of a lot of people apparently, it was "a bit far fetched how TLR went in that unmanned shop and found a suit and a bike 🙄".
Alison must play a part in the final bit, but no way is she plotting or involved 😂

Good point about Ryan getting home, and also about Catherine et al being whisked off to safety asap.

While I can appreciate that the escape scene could be more far fetched than SW usual scenes (though saying that, it does happen more than I'd ever think) I think she's good enough not to twist realism too much for the sake of more drama.

But! How can he get to Catherine then? Is Claire a possibility, she's always at Catherine's and hence that's how Catherine gets involved? There is surely a standoff involving the three, CC RC and TLR if the posters are anything to go by but I can't fathom how!

Yes I think the anticipation for the next episode sends everyone a bit Miss Marple extremis and we see meaning in every teeny thing, from Catherine flinging her glasses on the desk to Alison's double clutch.

I was quite pleased grubby Neil was contrite and not cocky. I liked the tension as Catherine stalked the shampoo aisle giving him hard stares.

No way would TLR turn up at Catherine's house, he'd know the police would be all over it in case he turned up.

@HannaHat I kind of feel protective of SW and her brilliant writing when people miss such clear details and hence think the storyline is stupid! SW is an incredible writer and the storylines have shown just that.

As I contrast, I watched one and a half episodes of Line of Duty and found it awful (a lot of my friends recommended it but I found it hammy acting and a lot of it too obvious.) SW seems to wind complex stories, have constant tension but not make it unrealistic or hammy. With both the first two series, you can see exactly how both the accountant and the CID officer end up in the situations they find themselves in, and how things can escalate - like Faisal, neither are master criminals to start with either!

I am embarrassed to admit that when I first saw TLR dress in the bike gear I thought it was random good fortune rather than set up for him. The message in the tiny phone didn't click.

I wish they would do a voiceover thing with text messages, like the opposite of subtitles. I think my eyesight is good to average, I have subtitles on all the time, and manage to read those, but no way could I catch what the tiny phone message said.

This is a good point. I know when ‘Sherlock’ was on I used to wonder how people with poor eyesight or difficulties processing printed words would manage to catch all the SM interjections on screen.

Perhaps they’re the ones puzzled by the magical appearance of Lycra and a bike at the back of a random newsagents? (In which case I apologise for laughing at the misunderstanding!)

This is where a "Pause live TV" feature is so handy.

TLR has got to go for Ryan so my guess is that's how he'll come across Catherine , reckon Alison will be involved in the climax.
Side quest with a twist is neckbeard kills Pfizer and goes down for that.
And appen my Yorkshire accent is authentic and genuine not faux

I think what I saw is part of it and has, as far as you can know, shown that I was wrong about it, being one of the final scenes.

This also ties in with further speculation I had once I applied a bit more thought, but if anyone wants to have a look, it is on Twitter.

My thought was that she might die saving Catherine.

Of course it could be that it's only to do with getting the vehicle or the double declutch on the truck!

I hope Catherine gets her 2 grand from the whip round!
