Oh my, how utterly darling of JN, musing on aging and doing stunts!

Radio 4 Today programme, from 8.47am. (Worth the wait, having to listen to awful, squirming, supercilious Tories. I listen every day but this morning was shocking.)

Ooh,, I haven't googled yet but was Joyce sue osmond in eastenders about a billionty years ago?

She was in Eastenders but I think she played Sue's husband's sister@Comewithmefriday IIRC

I reckon Catherine makes it to the Himalayas only to be faced by TLR on Everest.

😂
Or he's revealed as her Sherpa

HannaHat · 24/01/2023 09:13

The 4 possible endings that have apparently been filmed can only point to a siege type ending (probably at Daniel and Anne's new house as a pp said).
I think they will have filmed 4 different people dying, or 4 different people ending TLR.
No way will Ryan die, that would be just awful.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/01/2023 09:33

Maybe none of the cast know which ending sally chooses till the very last episode

Every chance, would be good if they had the reveal at the same time as us 😂

RandomersAssociation · 24/01/2023 09:45

Mr Norton sounded as if he knew, in the interview this morning!

fairypeasant · 24/01/2023 10:03

Catherine or Ryan dying wouldn't be the "point" of the story. It's not where it's going. Ryan showing that is nurture over nature is where the story is going. Peripheral characters may die. Clare, Catherine and Ryan won't die. I don't think Ann will either (Catherine's successor).

TLR will die.

fairypeasant · 24/01/2023 10:04

TLR has to die, to make it end. HV can't end if he's alive.

Aah missed the interview 😑

Well it could of course. He could be captured and imprisoned for the rest of his life. That would still be an ending.

I absolutely believe he will die at the end though.

See if that works? Today Programme radio 4.

CuriousMama · 24/01/2023 10:17

James Norton is on right at the end

Thank you, he's on at around 2:48 minutes for those interested in listening.

I quite like the posh accent Blush

@Ladybug14 I like in Hebden Bridge. Ryan would have easily got to Leeds in time, it’s an hour or just under depending on trains.

Thank you! At least that's a plus point. I was disappointed last night tbh

JemimaPyjamas · 24/01/2023 10:30

I thought it seemed a bit too far fetched, but then read about all the people who have managed to escape court which made it seem rather less so!

fairypeasant · 24/01/2023 10:31

@HannaHat

But he was imprisoned for life at the end of series one. And there was more HV! So to end it, he has to be deaded. By a flying fridge.

Yes. And it stops BBC execs trying to bring it back in 4 years' time. I like when a great TV programme isn't prolonged beyond its natural lifespan.

HannaHat · 24/01/2023 10:33

I'd thoroughly enjoy a flying fridge death for him, not gonna lie.

fairypeasant · 24/01/2023 10:37

Jumping/throwing/flying from a height is a theme. I wonder if it will involve an asbestos roof?

storminabuttercup · 24/01/2023 10:42

Who's to say Tommy isn't getting out so he can die? He tried to kill himself and Ryan. Maybe that's his plan. Tommy does exactly what he wants, he wants Ryan but also suspect his 'old life' i mean he went back to HB the first time he got out not knowing about Ryan. He doesn't know any other life.

He can't have Ryan in prison, to him I think killing Ryan is his FU to Catherine.

But I also don't think he will succeed. He will just die himself. (Hopefully very painfully)

But before all that we will see Ryan accept that his father was a monster. That way the show ends us all knowing that him and Catherine will be just fine.

Catherine and Claire will make up.

I don't know how it'll all happen but that's what I want..

Rhondaa · 24/01/2023 10:44

James Norton seems to have done all the promo appearances. He was on the Jordan North show on the radio, Graham Norton and the One Show I haven't seen any other cast members appear.
It'd be interesting to see Norton, Sarah Lancashire and Our Claire on a sofa together somewhere. I think they did appear at a premiere question and answer session but they seems about it.

Isn't he also promoting his play though?

I thought Poppy had seen her mum's phone on the floor and that's why she was staring. Have I got that wrong? Do we know where the phone is?
