Starts today 16/1 at 5pm channel4.

New age range this year which makes a lot of sense.

Hope it's good, I do like Liam and Rav as judges.

Over ambitious I think.....

AnneElliotfanclub · 24/01/2025 17:54

Will Austin be penalised for not having a third tier?

AnneElliotfanclub · 24/01/2025 17:57

What wonderful kids.

sailingsunshine · 24/01/2025 19:06

Wonderful series, I loved the final and great winner.

murasaki · 24/01/2025 19:13

Dp really wanted Ronnie, who he named Kray junior due to his frequent hostile stares, to win, but when he turned his bottom layer to toast, I was pretty sure it would be toothy cutie Austin.

But as ever, all the kids were great, helped each other out, I adore the apron tying chain, and well done all of them.

Ellmau · 24/01/2025 19:23

I think Deji might have won if it hadn't fallen down - but it's hard to say that was unlucky because I think it was an inbuilt structural issue, It was always going to fall.

They've all done really well.

It was nice to see the former winners too.

viques · 24/01/2025 19:25

I hope all the JBO parents are proud of them, not only for their baking skills but their kindness, their sense of humour, their generosity of spirit ,their resilience and their charm. When we hear so much about feral children, rude and entitled children, children who are glued to screens, or who assume that success comes without effort, it is wonderful to see proof positive that there are children who are turning out to be wonderful human beings, let’s hope there are lots of them quietly getting on with life.

Well done those parents, be proud of your children, and proud of yourselves too.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/01/2025 21:45

I really thought Deji would win. As he's been pretty good all the way along. Austin is really sweet. And I'm glad it was him, but they all seem like lovely kids.

jay55 · 25/01/2025 10:51

Gorgeous series.

I loved how they all would get excited when someone did well and would want to eat the best technicals. And Rav and Liam did a great job heading off tears.

I think I prefer this to the main series. The kids are so lovely and so resilient.

AnneElliotfanclub · 25/01/2025 15:01

What a great three weeks it has been with this to watch.

Umanresources · 25/01/2025 15:44

I missed Lana in the final. I loved how she wasn’t fazed by how messy her bakes were. I enjoyed all the finalists and it’s one show where I don’t mind who wins.
Harry’s jokes are so cringy. It’s so funny how the children react to them, joining in or completely ignoring him. I’m sure that they don’t understand half of them. I’m still 😱 at the “what do you get if you try and cross a dog with a cat? A visit from the RSPCA and a lifetime ban from keeping pets.” 😹
We are going to miss this so much. I wish it lasted longer.

murasaki · 25/01/2025 15:53

We're going to see Harry in April, can't wait.

Love this, amazing bakers

ChessieFL · 05/01/2026 19:09

I’m always in awe at how well they can bake, and they’re all also grade 8 cello or playing tennis for their county or something. Makes me feel very pathetic with my lack of baking or any other ability! I mean, I can make a perfectly edible standard cake but nothing as nice as they can do!

AlwaysRightISwear · 05/01/2026 21:02

If Ailya keeps up this standard she's going to be hard to beat. Is she the oldest this year?

They are all very well off!

Really loved the Victoria sandwich sandwich challenge. I do think the junior challenges are a lot more fun and creative than the main show.

Aila is very good, but is about 5 years older than the rest , surely! Nice bunch of kids again though.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 06/01/2026 13:16

I think she’s just very tall!

Thanks for the reminder, I'd forgotten. I love this series.

Halsall · 06/01/2026 15:47

DH and I love watching this, it’s better than the grown-up version by far! I thought they might have changed the age-range to make it a bit narrower but actually I see they do go from 9 to 14 this time - we haven’t met the youngest one yet. Aiyla is 14 so she’s one of the eldest - she’s just very tall. There’s another competitor called Aiyla too (and the same spelling) but she's a bit younger at 11.

My big, big gripe is the tall fridges with the freezer compartment at the top so the smaller children really struggle to use it (and the inevitable disasters ensue).
