Starts today 16/1 at 5pm channel4.

New age range this year which makes a lot of sense.

Hope it's good, I do like Liam and Rav as judges.

I thought any one of them could have won. I really enjoyed this series and I hope they all stay as unspoiled as they are now. It’s not as stressful as watching the adult version, even though there are so many more accidents and mishaps. I like the way Liam does the critical tasting and then Rav points out all the good points, leaving them on a positive note.

@tennissquare thank you. ☺️

@LaBelleSauvage123 my favourite line from Ilham was when she said ‘and the British came to India and stole everything’. Harry then tried to smooth it over and said something that he thought gave her the chance to backtrack a bit but she replied ‘no, they stole everything’.

I’m going to miss this. It’s been a high spot in my day whilst down with Covid since Christmas Day. The children were such a nice bunch, just lovely.

I had a feeling Tilly would win but it was sad to see Annabelle upset when taking her show stopper to the judges. The pressure must have been tremendous.

I missed that one! Hilarious. I couldn’t believe it at the end when I realised she was only 10.

I felt sorry for Annabel as she was probably the strongest baker overall - if she’d put her cakes the other way round she might have won. I guess when she practised they had more time to cool but a Simnel cake on top of a slightly warm chiffon cake was always going to squash it down.

I do think Tilly was a worthy winner though - I have to bake gluten free for DS2 and it’s so easy for cakes to be dry.

StrawberryJellyBelly · 20/01/2024 08:45

LaBelle it was funny and shocking in equal measure and Harry was taken aback. He then said something along the lines of but they also brought plenty of things with them and Ilham said, like what, and Harry replied the railways. 🙈🤣

And yes to GF being tricky.

Liam and Rav are both so upbeat even when giving criticism. They are so constructive.
It's a shame Saturday morning kids tv doesn't exist any more as they'd both be brilliant.

The kids were great and supportive and so helpful to each other.

It's a shame it was all crammed into three weeks

Hi all, just a heads up that this show is back tomorrow (Monday) at 5pm on channel 4, with Ravneet and Liam too.

Harry Hill also has a funny family friendly podcast called Are we there yet? Which has also featured the 2 judges plus lots of comedians etc.

JaneJeffer · 06/01/2025 17:04

Thanks @sailingsunshine

I love Harry Hill, we need to see more of him on tv!

JaneJeffer · 06/01/2025 17:09

"You might get cancelled Harry" 🤣

sailingsunshine · 06/01/2025 17:53

I love this show; Harry, the judges and the bakers!

AnneElliotfanclub · 06/01/2025 17:57

Great children as usual and such kind, supportive judging.

murasaki · 06/01/2025 17:58

Harry was hilarious, even if most of it sailed over the kids' heads. Lovely show as ever.

JaneJeffer · 06/01/2025 19:14

The Italian cake looked lovely

Hallelujah2020 · 06/01/2025 21:55

The cakes were all so good apart from the burnt bits of rice paper?? lying on top of them

Ellmau · 06/01/2025 22:03

Those burnt bits looked like flies. It rather put one off.

Umanresources · 11/01/2025 13:09

I just keep laughing at ‘Girl with a pea earring’ and the thought of Van Gogh having a wife called Debbie. 😂

LaBelleSauvage123 · 17/01/2025 18:41

I thought it was strange in today's episode - Lana didn't know what choux pastry was for the technical, but when they had to do it again for the showstopper she said it was the one she'd practised the most! I wonder if they don't film the two rounds over consecutive days?

LaBelleSauvage123 · 17/01/2025 18:42

My absolute favourite is Kingston - such a lovely smile!

murasaki · 17/01/2025 20:38

He is lovely, I also like gap toothed Lana.

Halsall · 23/01/2025 17:26

Ronnie cracks me up. He’s like a 53-year-old in a child's body.

Ellmau · 23/01/2025 22:46

I always get worried seeing Lana's hair loose like that. She ought to tie it back when baking.

jay55 · 24/01/2025 12:36

I'm not quite up to date yet, been catching up the last few days.

I love how creative all the challenges have been this year.

The technicals especially. The main show should take some notes.

I'm looking forward to the final, such great bakers!

murasaki · 24/01/2025 15:01

I think Austin might get it, he's been improving steadily. But I like them all.

AnneElliotfanclub · 24/01/2025 17:44

Poor Deji!
