Who will be victorious?

OP posts:
dapsnotplimsolls · 22/12/2022 22:33

I hope in the next series, they tell those who are murdered/banished who the traitors are. It would be interesting to see their reactions.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/12/2022 22:34

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Kieran showed his nasty streak to good effect.
Wilf revealed his lying, manipulative true colours at last. Then tried to paint himself as a good guy again at the end.
Meryl is terminally thick.

SunshineAndFizz · 22/12/2022 22:34

Ah what a final. Did NOT disappoint.

Kieran, hats off for giving as good as you got from Will.

Will, excellent game play. Truly "every man for himself" approach.

And well done to the others for actually listening to Kieran's "clues". I was worried you were going to ignore them (bless Meryl).

Just read on twitter...

I would love it if the final twist was Amanda was actually Aaron’s mum!

Smile

Oh that would be amazing!!

kc431 · 22/12/2022 22:35

“Swearing on your life” doesn’t really mean anything though, it’s just guff people say - I’m pretty sure I’ve sworn on my own life in board games/poker and I’m still very much alive 😅

ReneBumsWombats · 22/12/2022 22:36

grievinggirlneedsadvice · 22/12/2022 22:31

I know, why trust Kieran over Amanda?!? Just baffling!!

He didn't trust Kieran! He fucked him over!

Liquorish · 22/12/2022 22:38

I’d like to see a reunion episode of them all coming back together having found out and see if anyone’s held a grudge.

EdieLedwell · 22/12/2022 22:38

I have zero problem with Keiran turning the tables on Wilf. I was screaming at the telly for him to do it.

As Claudia kept saying,
"What's the name of the show?"

Wilf's big mistake was turning on Amanda.

They could've won together.

Rowthe · 22/12/2022 22:39

Also at the end when Will left it was a very uplifting atmosphere even Claudia was happy and laughing. Will was saying stuff like how happy he was for them.

I think that made it too easy for them to decide to stop the banishment.

EdieLedwell · 22/12/2022 22:40

The last five are on Claudia's radio 2 show on
Saturday.

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/12/2022 22:40

I wonder if any of them have kept in touch?

ReneBumsWombats · 22/12/2022 22:40

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 22/12/2022 22:32

but I really didn't like Wilf saying he'd swear on anyone's life that he was a Faithful.

How come?

It's saying that he'd stake someone's life on you telling the truth, when he's lying. May his mother/child/grandma/ whoever be struck dead if he's lying. And he's lying.

Perhaps not everyone takes it so literally, but I really don't like it. Maybe a remnant from a religious upbringing, I don't know. Leave people's loves out of it.

vincettenoir · 22/12/2022 22:41

@Romeiswheretheheartis agree that Wilf was not at all gracious. He called Kieran a prick and then threatened not to speak to the others if they voted for him. This is what gave him away. He was getting away with being over emotional the whole time but in the end it was the undoing of him.

Rowthe · 22/12/2022 22:41

LipsSoScarlet · 22/12/2022 22:12

He definitely had to recruit someone this time around. Or at least offer them the option - Keiran could have chosen murder instead. I don’t think anyone would have expected Kieran to be such a loose canon though! I thought he was a good choice to recruit as he seemed quite level-headed as a faithful.

He couldn't handle losing

The way the ending was designed the traitors would always have had to turn on each other to ensure a traitor was banished and the others could be convinced to end the game. I think that's why Kieran's comments felt off.

I don't think he minded losing as much as the thought of being screwed over without recourse.

ReneBumsWombats · 22/12/2022 22:36

True, but before that he had a 'bro-code' saying he was going to work with Keiran and get to the final- which he did seem to be doing until Kieran started to get overwrought a bit. If he was ok to share it and work with someone to get it, why on earth Kieran not Amanda?! Would have completely understood if he had recruited him just to get rid of him, but he seemed hell bent on actually trusting him at first!

I think Wilf’s reaction telegraphed loud and clear that he was the last traitor.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 22/12/2022 22:44

Maybe a remnant from a religious upbringing

I guess; I remember it being a big deal at my CofE primary school. It doesn’t mean anything more than, “I promise” or “I guarantee”. I mean, nobody is going to be struck dead.

Yes Maddy said on the radio this morning that they have a WhatsApp group.

Amos and Andrea have posting pics of themselves at shows and on bike rides together

Orangeanlemons551 · 22/12/2022 22:46

I bet Wilf will be in the jungle next year and get his money .

What brilliant telly !

Yeah not gonna lie, it means nothing to me as I’m not superstitious, it’s just empty words - no-one will actually be struck dead if you swear on their life with a lie.

Lentilweaver · 22/12/2022 22:47

Now remembering the John Aaron interaction where Aaron couldn't remember what he was supposed to call John! 😄
