Who will be victorious?

OP posts:

Marking my place. Wilf for the win! Have to watch the final with my elderly parents who will have no clue what's going on.

CaveMum · 22/12/2022 14:38

Place marking for tonight. Rooting for Wilf to win, he's played the long game and ultimately the whole point of doing it is to try and win, otherwise what is the point?!

But Wilf is awful, cringeworthy. To be honest, I don't like any of the remaining contestants much. Aaron is quite sweet. I was hoping Amanda would win.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/12/2022 14:45

Thanks for new thread. Can't stand any of them but love the show!

HalleLouja · 22/12/2022 14:49

I do really like Aaron. I think Wilf underestimated Kieran…. Kieran will try and throw W under the bus. Maybe say he tried to recruit him…

Rowthe · 22/12/2022 15:07

Wilf for the win- bring on tonight!

CaveMum · 22/12/2022 15:12

The question is, do people not like Wilf because he is a traitor?

If he was a faithful would people feel the same way?

Would any of us have behaved differently in his shoes?

We may like to think we would, but I bet in the same circumstances most of us would do exactly the same in terms of throwing others under the bus in order to protect ourselves.

At the end of the day we are actually pretty predictable creatures!

MsInterpret · 22/12/2022 15:13

Can't wait for 9pm!

Dotellhimpike · 22/12/2022 15:21

Rooting for Wilf to win tonight, even if just to see Hannah's expression.

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/12/2022 15:22

I don't think Kieran will be able to win over Aaron and Meryl to get Wilf out. The only way Wilf won't win is if there's another twist or Hannah suddenly reveals herself to be an amazing actress and turn on Wilf.

TinselSniffer · 22/12/2022 15:26

Unless Amanda makes a shock re-entrance and wins I won't be happy with the result. I'd love her to glide in nonchalantly wearing sunglasses and a fur coat like Jackie 'yeah Brackie' Stallone in Celebrity Big Brother.

Henowner · 22/12/2022 15:31

I think Hannah knows Wilf is a traitor and is keeping him in until the end so she can "out" him and then take all the money. A clever tactic if I'm correct!

Novemberhater · 22/12/2022 15:34

Just been out for a Christmas lunch. It's the main topic of conversation. Everyone is so excited for tonight. When did a reality show cause this much excitement?

ReneBumsWombats · 22/12/2022 15:36

Counting down!

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 22/12/2022 15:39

I want Aaron to win out of those left, but I seriously want to see Hannah's face if she is left in the final with Wilf when she hears he's a traitor.

Samcro · 22/12/2022 15:39

i really don't want Will to win, but can't see how he won't.

lljkk · 22/12/2022 15:46

I'm not bothered who wins. I'd like Aaron to stay in as long as possible just because he's my fave, but I think they all got a benefit out of it. Even Nikki, got to publicise her fund-raising a bit. I'm not seeing that any harm was done, it is just a game...

Limer · 22/12/2022 15:51

Binge watched this today. I like it but have so many questions:

The challenges only take about an hour, what do they do for the rest of the day? Just chat, eat/drink and play snooker/croquet?

Where are their "lodgings" - and are they policed while there? Are they allowed phones? Are they allowed to chat to each other outside the castle?

When someone is murdered, do they leave immediately or do they stay that night and leave in the morning? I can't believe they have no idea who's coming into breakfast if they all live in the same lodgings and travel together to the castle.

What's the logistics of a traitor leaving the castle when the clock strikes (they seem to leave in shifts, not all together), then having to return for the murder discussion later? Then going back to the lodgings even later - how do the others not see them returning?

Limer · 22/12/2022 15:54

I think Wilf will win, because the Round Table will vote out Kieran, then the remaining four will declare there are no traitors left and the game is finished.

VirginiaQ · 22/12/2022 15:56

I think Will will get them all to turn against Kieran. Hannah is totally on team Wilf. Kieran will be exposed as a traitor and then Wilf will call an end to the game thereby winning the money.

Unfortunately the three faithfuls left aren't very bright and easily manipulated. Hannah however has the strongest personality so easily for Wilf to get her onside with whatever choice he makes and Aaron and Meryl will just blindly follow the pack.

VirginiaQ · 22/12/2022 15:57

@Limer crossed post! Great minds and all that! 😂😂😂

JustDanceAddict · 22/12/2022 16:01

Can’t wait for tonight! Only 5 hours to go…
Wilf will win, surely.
I wonder if the winner hasn’t got their money yet as it’d be too obvious until the final aired.

WouldJudasLeaveIt · 22/12/2022 16:03

In the Australian version there are two round table votes in the final episode, so the final vote was 3 contestants left choosing one to oust.
I think the UK version will end with only 2 finalists, a bit like Golden Balls with the split or steal.

I think there will be a lot of filming to get all the sequences for each day - the challenges might appear short but to get the right footage could take a while, plus with all the other conversations being filmed. I bet there's loads of hanging round.

Re phones, I vaguely know one of the contestants, and remember hearing that they couldn't have phone contact, also couldn't tell people where they were going or what they were doing. Next time I see this person I will definitely ask more about how it works logistically, although they might be sick of answering questions about it by then!

I wanted Amanda to win, so in her absence, I would prefer the faithfuls to win.

GrimDamnFanjo · 22/12/2022 16:15

My hunch is Keiron will throw Will under the bus and the rest of the cast won't suspect there are two traitors left.
Best reality to show in years.
