I’ll be gutted if Lawrence is the main baddie!

I hope we get some insight into Lawrence's motivation in the next series.

Eyes on Gilead is an excellent podcast.

My daughter and I were also yelling at Serena to run for it and went "yes" when she did. Then reflected how odd it was that we were rooting for Serena, former bad guy! As someone else said above it's something great about the series that it's not always obvious who's a good/bad guy.

Whatever I'd want for Serena, I'd still want her baby to have to chance of a decent life, not to become a mini-commander.

I’ve been browsing the sales for workwear and love this dress so much but feel can’t bring myself to buy it as every time I’d wear it I’d feel like I was channelling Serena or Naomi Putnam! I’m way too invested in this TV show 😂

We went to see it recently (Cabaret), I wanted to go to the stage door and mob her. I love Janine.

Yes me!! I mean…I’m sure it would be a disaster of a relationship and is probably one of those relationships that is better in your head than in reality, but still….I’d like them to be together…I like Nick. Although interesting in the EOG podcast season 5 wrap up interview with Bruce Jenner he was saying that they might explore more of Nicks backstory in the final season…which may change my mind on him when we find out just how “bad” he has been.
still…at this point I feel I could forgive him anything 😁

It was originally planned that there would be ten series but they’ve decided to finish after six.

Bruce Miller said he’s planning The Testaments after Handmaid finishes, so there will be something else to come.

He did say in this series something like that Gilead had overturned capitalism but had to use the religious to do so - who then took things too far. Was he anti- capitalist all along but prepared to sacrifice women for the "greater good"?!

I've just finished season 5 - was excellent.

The penultimate episode was directed by the man that plays Commander Lawrence and the last episode was directed by Elisabeth Moss (although she has directed many episodes of the Handmaids Tale). Just thought that was interesting.

Was the penultimate episode the one where June gets run over? I liked the direction of that one, that scene was very GTA.

The last episode was the one where June gets run over. I liked that too, to be honest it was refreshing to have something really awful happen to June rather than Janine.
