OP posts:
m00rfarm · 21/11/2022 20:38

I like Will, i keep forgetting who Ellie is, I thought Helen was amazing on Saturday, I am indifferent to Fleur, I feel sorry for Molly, Hamza - just not sure about - his toes REALLY turn in more than I like, Kym is doing better than I thought she would I guess I want Will, Helen, Kym and Hamza in the final.

Sunbird24 · 21/11/2022 20:40

Thanks Polka.

Clawdy · 21/11/2022 22:16

Checking in.

ChessieFL · 22/11/2022 06:07

Thanks for the new thread. Is it today we should find out what dances they’re all doing on Saturday?

DameHelena · 22/11/2022 08:21

Thanks for the new thread. I'm thinking Helen must be due an Argentine tango? Can imagine her doing it well.
Would like to see Hamza and Jowita doing one too.

ellebelli · 22/11/2022 09:32

Hamza still has a Charleston doesn't he?
I think some of the couples have some good dances left to do which will help...

DameHelena · 22/11/2022 09:38

Yes, he's not done a Charleston yet. They'll throw in some incredible lifts when they do do one!

SolInvictus · 22/11/2022 10:00

I think it's Ellie who has the "most dangerous" ones left. (as in likely to cause elimination)

I was wondering how many more #sadstories/dead rellies we have left? And CC? Who's left?

And also what it is that's leaving me perplexed by some of the slebs which is little to do with their dancing.

Helen- the smile doesn't reach her eyes. She wants this as badly as, say, Will, she's clearly very very ambitious. There's nothing wrong with that obvs, but the slightly ditsy northern salt of the earth thing doesn't quite ring true to me. In the VTs it's always "look at daft old me, I'll never manage this, he wants me to do what?!!!" And then she's grittily perfect. She's that girl in class who always says "I'll fail this O'level I know I will/I'll get the bottom mark" and then is always top. Last week when we saw that hesitation - I think it was because for once she did genuinely think she'd not nailed it in the week. All the other times she knows fine well how good she is.

Kym confuses me. Sometimes she acts like she can't be bothered, others like she'd throw the rest of them to the dogs and clamber over their bones to get to the final. Graziano is annoying me this year as well.

Will seems to have sussed out he also needs to ham up the northern lad with heart of gold trope. He realised he was one of the best early on and that ego shows now. Like all good actors the on cue crying is tiresome.

I think Molly is severely handicapped by Carlos in a way that Fleur isn't by Vito. Both outdanced their slebs initially, Carlos still does. I literally didn't notice Molly on Saturday so turned off was I by his gurning and gyrating.

Hamza remains my favourite by dint of his personality but...he's got some tough dances left. Mind you, the judges are now at the proper batshit stage with their scores so he's not going to see any paddle below 9 anytime soon.

Ellie is at the stage the others were about a month ago. She's been hampered by production treating her as goofy funny girl both in frockery and dance choices.

Final at this stage based on the above non technical analysis

Helen
Hamza
Will
Fleur

I still agree it's Hamza's to lose but after Saturday Fleur is right up there and Helen always was. Will first to be eliminated from final.

Order of elimination
Molly (unless DO with Ellie)
Ellie
Kym will be last to go if DO with Ellie or Molly.

ellebelli · 22/11/2022 10:11

Agree with everything you typed @SolInvictus (and usually do!😄)

Clawdy · 22/11/2022 11:28

Since Tyler went, I couldn't really care who wins - so long as it isn't Will.

xsquared · 22/11/2022 13:29

I don't think they eliminate the 4th contestant anymore in the final.

Ellie can't have much longer left and I'm surprised that she has managed not to be in the bottom two.

I think it's pretty predictable who's going to win this year.

RachelGreeneGreep · 22/11/2022 13:47

I think you have hit the nail on the head there Sollnvictus (can't tag you for some reason, get a strange message when I try)
I just couldn't quite figure out what to think of her but that is spot on.

Figgygal · 22/11/2022 14:00

I'm wondering how long molly can keep going its almost cruel to watch

SoupDragon · 22/11/2022 14:13

a big part of me thinks that Kym should withdraw due to covid this late in the series rather than just miss a week.

SoupDragon · 22/11/2022 14:14

That said, given how close they all are now, they'll probably all get it!

Others have been in her position before, so she will go when the judges have had enough. She will be feeling very low on self confidence no doubt, and she won't have had the same experience as others in the entertainment industry to be emotionally robust.

Rhys Stephenson was on his 4th dance off in the semi final and I think Charles Venn was on his 4th in musicals week.

just googled. if its true(the paper) that she has covid I think your right. seems unfair to get a pass.

I think it's pretty predictable who's going to win this year.

Who are you thinking of? I’d put money on it being Helen, Hamza or Fleur, but couldn’t call it beyond that. I always think a lot depends on how things go on the night.

XanaduKira · 22/11/2022 14:34

Totally agree with all your points @SolInvictus

If Kym does have Covid, that's such a shame. I'm not a massive fan of hers but have when contestants go out this way. Wonder if they will giver her a pass or if this will mean she's eliminated?

I'd quite like her to be given a pass really although this close to the end doesn't seem fair somehow either.

Molly really should be next to go in my opinion. Gutted Tyler has gone as I really liked him and wanted him in the final (although agree that he hadn't really improved much since the start).
