THE WHITE LOTUS - s2 MONDAY 9pm sky Atlantic. TV PACE. NO SPOILERS

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/10/2022 10:06

So lotus is back

s1 was good. About holiday makers in a posh hotel and one died but various other things

quite funny

worth watching s1

there is a thread. Not by me s one

s2 is new cast and a new secret apart from jennifer Coolidge who returns as Tanya along with her lover now hubby

This season, Coolidge's hysterical and hyper-sensitive Tanya McQuoid will be joined by Jon Gries, who reprises his season one role of Tanya's lover turned new husband Greg, and Haley Lu Richardson (The Edge of Seventeen) who plays Portia, her assistant. Oscar-winner F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), and Adam DiMarco (The Order) portray Bert, Dominic, and Albie, respectively, three generations of men from the Di Grasso family with three very different approaches to the opposite sex on a trip to Sicily to visit their ancestral home.

Also checking in are two polar opposite couples on vacation together: the prickly, newly-rich, and socially aware Harper and Ethan, played by Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) and Will Sharpe (Landscapers), and the carefree, news-averse, lovey-dovey couple Cameron and Daphne, played by Theo James (The Time Traveler's Wife) and Meghann Fahy (The Bold Type). The separate groups are intertwined when two local girls Mia (Beatrice Granno) and Lucia (Simona Tabasco) find their way into the White Lotus, much to the chagrin of Valentina (Sabrina Impaciatorre), the often flustered manager of the hotel.

I just had a thought ...

If Greg is the cowboy, then is Quentin the person on the other end of the call when Greg says 'She has no idea' and 'I love you'???

I assume so

Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton · 05/12/2022 18:22

Maybe it's a long con ?
Maybe he wasn't ill at all???

TwoMonthsOff · 05/12/2022 18:23

Not read full thread but to all those people without Sky - most of the Sky series are on their NOW TV streaming service, it’s a pay monthly service so no ties to contracts

maranella · 05/12/2022 18:23

Yes, that's what I'm thinking too @Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton.

Remember mafia gigolo guy has a gun in his bag too ...

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/12/2022 18:56

Oh yes. Maybe be a gang bang shoot out

hence the deaths related to hotel but not as such

as guests but not staying there

When Quentin was talking about the cowboy, he said that he would have done anything for him, in fact he still would. Is that get rid of Tanya?
Jack’s cap made me laugh, with the cock on the front. A few years ago my lovely late MIL went on a day trip and we had to take away her baseball cap with I ❤️ Pussy on it. She was very fond of cats!

I just love these threads and how we all pick up on different stuff

I didn’t get the trainer comment and the kids were his

daphne doesn’t seem to care that Cameron screws around as she does as well

Ethan bless him. Needs to be more honest with harper

i do think Cameron is poor and he was pissed off when Ethan wouldn’t tell him the shares

I don’t think Greg is being unfaithful. Maybe talking to his kid. Sure has one. And said wide Tanya is clueless

might be his health.

can’t work out if gays are rich or playing Tanya

but omg at nephew swinging both ways

thats if nephew

Hope Greg hasn’t set them up

and maybe he’s the straight cowboy

Am new to the thread so am reading all the comments and… bingo!

Loved S1, am loving s2 and Jack is stealing the show. That monologue- what an actor! No, I’m not his mum.

Roundlampshade · 06/12/2022 07:03

The guy who plays Jack is from west London. I had to laugh when he said “f me sideways.” I thought it was only me who said that.

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 06/12/2022 07:13

I hadn't twigged it was Greg in the photo. DP and I were trying to work out how they were going to con her as we couldn't see the link but Greg is the link. Lucia is also definitely setting up the de Grassos for extortion.

TottersBlankly · 06/12/2022 07:51

Still haven’t watched, so scrolling past recent posts. Just wanted to leave this on Portia’s style from the FT.

Have you got a share token if they do that?

maranella · 06/12/2022 08:55

At this point I think the one most at risk of being murdered is Lucia. She's hassling Cameron and Ethan for money that Cameron almost certainly doesn't have and Ethan considers it really Cameron's debt AND she's trying to extort money from Albie, while Albie's dad is furious with her already and he hasn't seen the bill from all her designer clothes shopping yet.

maranella · 06/12/2022 08:58

I'm still trying to figure out though how Quentin/Greg are going to get Tanya's money. Tanya and Greg have a pre-nup that means he doesn't get anything if they divorce - so does he get it if she dies? But I don't think Tanya is going to die. She's the main character and her type tends to survive.

I also think Cameron is going to survive, because Daphne says 'WE are leaving in a couple of hours' in the first scene.

Winterborne74 · 06/12/2022 09:03

'WE are leaving in a couple of hours' in the first scene.

But was that before she discovered the body?

She may not have known he was dead at that point

Tanya could die in this season and then the next one is set in the past with her.

Daphne saying "we" could also mean she does not know he is dead.

Anyway, we'll know next week :)

maranella · 06/12/2022 11:15

Daphne saying "we" could also mean she does not know he is dead.

Yes - true.

I really want to see the last episode - it's driving me crazy now 😂

Roundlampshade · 06/12/2022 11:47

I rewatched the first few minutes of the first episode and I think the body is a very pale, thin man. There is absolutely no fat on the ankles so I really really really hope it’s Greg.

hopeishere · 06/12/2022 12:43

I think it will be Greg and Quentin who die. Pushed off the boat.

Winterborne74 · 06/12/2022 13:05

Yes, plausible.

Or Albie kills someone, Allessio? Jack? And is whisked (by wealthy family) out of the country to avoid justice, never able to return to his homeland…

Or Portia..so many possibilities

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/12/2022 14:10

So least 3 dead

Daphne didn't look sad so not Cameron missing

Q and bad accent boy deserve to die

Greg dead wouid be good - but only if he is cheating /on Q side to get Tanya moneys

Can't wait for next weeks

There was an interesting photo of Tanya's seduction scene on the internet, which probably shows Greg's and Quentin's ploy. I do not want to give it away if people do not want to know.

Will Tanya realise what is going on in time? She has seen all the clues....

They could be planning a blackmail sting. Because Quentin got her snorting Coke and having sex with a (male prostitute?) & possibly she was recorded

EachandEveryone · 06/12/2022 18:23

Do you think there will be another series? Ive loved this season.
