s2 is new cast and a new secret apart from jennifer Coolidge who returns as Tanya along with her lover now hubby

This season, Coolidge's hysterical and hyper-sensitive Tanya McQuoid will be joined by Jon Gries, who reprises his season one role of Tanya's lover turned new husband Greg, and Haley Lu Richardson (The Edge of Seventeen) who plays Portia, her assistant. Oscar-winner F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), and Adam DiMarco (The Order) portray Bert, Dominic, and Albie, respectively, three generations of men from the Di Grasso family with three very different approaches to the opposite sex on a trip to Sicily to visit their ancestral home.

Also checking in are two polar opposite couples on vacation together: the prickly, newly-rich, and socially aware Harper and Ethan, played by Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) and Will Sharpe (Landscapers), and the carefree, news-averse, lovey-dovey couple Cameron and Daphne, played by Theo James (The Time Traveler's Wife) and Meghann Fahy (The Bold Type). The separate groups are intertwined when two local girls Mia (Beatrice Granno) and Lucia (Simona Tabasco) find their way into the White Lotus, much to the chagrin of Valentina (Sabrina Impaciatorre), the often flustered manager of the hotel.

If I were Ethan I would have bloody drowned Cameron in about the second episode. He is constantly putting him down and obviously using him.
did anyone else hear properly what Cameron said to Ethan when they were lying on the bed after the prostitute night. Something along the lines of I want to be inside you????

I am falling rather hopelessly in love with Ethan - so although Cameron needs drowning I’d prefer my new crush to get home safely and guilt free, and live a long and happy life enjoying his money and success and further greater achievements. Not googling ‘survival of incriminating DNA in salt water’ forever after!

good spot @BoneyEmm about the kids. I actually rewatched episode one today to see if there were any clues about who died. Daphne discovers the body in the water but it doesn’t appear that she thinks it’s Cameron but Rocco reports ‘a few’ guests have been killed to Valentina….

I think Quentin is a grifter playing the long con. I think Jack is a potless rent boy else why do a runner from a restaurant he would’ve clearly gone to before?

I think Cameron has gone skint. He’s knocked Lucia and Mia for the money and I think every other time, Ethan has paid. Plus he’s desperate to get Ethan to invest in his company.

I’m loving s2. Jennifer Coolidge is just the best. Queen of Sicily 😂

Aha! So that’s the twist with Rocco being moved from Reception to Beach Club. Valentina moved him for her personal satisfaction - but that will precipitate some enormous disaster. He should never have been beachside!

I have loved Will Sharpe ever since Giri / Haji, so I want Ethan to be happy and innocent.

I must watch that again! Greatest rooftop scene in all history.

Given how awestruck Ethan was at being invited there by Cameron it would be wonderfully satisfying if we discover that this luxury holiday is Cameron’s desperate last throw of the dice to save his business. Either Ethan invests or Cameron and Daphne go under. (Yay!)

I agree that Cameron is broke. After the prostitute night he basically started trying to persuade Ethan to have sex with him " I want to be inside you... make you feel good" etc. I think he thought he could then persuade Ethan to let him invest his funds. In the first episode Cameron winks at Harper on the boat over to the hotel and I thought with their connecting doors that Daphne and Cameron would be swingers and angling for a foursome or partner swap.

I don't really like the "happy hooker" trope. I find it really uncomfortable seeing those beautiful young women prostituting themselves. I don't find it engaging or funny. I think Tanya will walk away unscathed and Greg might be one of the bodies.

It was so brilliant, the acting is so amazing. The woman who plays Valentina is great, she’s essentially really predatory towards the receptionist woman (I can’t remember her name) but when Mia was talking to her she looked so desperate and lonely and I felt so sorry for her.

Also Jack - WTF. Interesting both Albie and Porsha have ended up with sex workers (assuming Jack is here). I really like them both but surely Albie could not be that naive.

Also agree that Cameron is probably broke and that Daphne is ruthless AF. When she was talking about her blonde trainer with big blue eyes and then showed the photo of her son who totally matched the same description.

I can't see Cameron being the type to accept kids if it was clear they were not his.

Daphne is a dark horse and is going to take Cameron down and have the last laugh.

Harper is a walking bag of anger but liking Ethan. Jack's neck tattoo is annoying.

Think I'm the only one who is disliking Tanya (but love Jennifer Coolidge!). Though I hope she sees through their clear scam and emerges money intact and without her husband.

Also don't like the glamorous hookers line, and they are able to hop about the hotel as they please.

Despite the above I'm liking it! 😂 What I would give to stay there.

When Jack aka "the nephew" ran away from the restaurant without paying it made me think - he made out he did it for a laugh but is he actually short of money? If that is the case then the whole set up is a sham and his "uncle" and friends are not the rich crowd they are pretending to be.
That whole group being not who they pretend to be would also explain Jack having sex with his "uncle" if they are not actually related but merely playing certain roles to scam Tanya out of her money.
Even down to making sure her assistant is distracted...

I think Tanya’s husband is in cahoots with Quentin or Quentin is seeking revenge on the straight cowboy that got old and that person is Tanya’s husband…

I'm totally intrigued by the "high class gays" and assume they are a scam but can't work out why

Oh yes, I also picked up on the cowboy story, although could be a red herring. Either Greg is in on it or will swoop in and save the day.

Agreed re Daphne - on the opening scenes she's looking incredibly happy on the beach (until she finds the dead body) so I'm assuming until that point she was very happy with whatever had transpired on during the week.

Also, these people fit a lot in on their holiday - I can barely finish a book :)

Just joining you lot as I’ve been watching and love it. I was also confused about what day of the week it was by now - Hotel manager seemed to be suggesting Thursday was two days away… although, what day of the week did they arrive. Who knows?

Yes! I think you've hit the nail on the head. Explains his sudden departure from the holiday - could be for urgent scan/treatment. Makes much more sense than him being in cahoots with a posh, gay, English guy.

I just watched the opening scene again and it's much more interesting now that we're five episodes in. Daphne is alone at the beach, no sign of Cameron, Ethan or Harper - the sunbed beside her is completely empty.

And when she has what I initially took as an inconsequential chat with the other two American women, she says after describing how amazing Italy, the hotel and the staff are: "You're going to die. They'll have to drag you out of here".

Greg said he would be gone for 2 days so should be back next episode. Although I think he went to Denver. Hmmmm. Sicily to Denver and back in 2 days and doing whatever when you are there. Not possible. It would take more than 12 hours to do that journey one way
