Any chance that storm in Yorkshire could cross the Pennines and get rid of some of the dead wood in Weatherfield?

Would someone as smooth as Dev really date someone like Bernie ?!

So Kelly is the new Doctor Who companion! She must be so glad she left the Street!

Ah wow amazing!

HunBabesSweetieVom · 19/11/2022 08:41

The whole thing is just bonkers
Anyone else remember the game where somebody wrote the first line of a story on a piece of paper , folded it over then passed it on for someone to write the next line ?
This is it on screen Grin

I've thought this a lot!

HunBabesSweetieVom · 19/11/2022 08:45

My next line would be Bernie has a pregnancy scare -even though she's nearer 60 , that's a small detail-everyone is worried, especially Gemini because who will help look after the invisible quads ?

Notwellatall · 19/11/2022 09:41

@HunBabesSweetieVom that's absolutely spot on - I don't even think they've bothered reading the previous bit, half the time!

I’ve genuinely never done this before but I tried to catch up on Wednesday’s episode tonight and turned it off 5 minutes in. Maria getting emotional over Daryan was just one preachy scene too many for me. Honestly never thought I’d have to take a break, but here we are 🤦🏻‍♀️

I agree. It’s obvious, it’s tedious and it’s patronising.

AutumnCrow · 19/11/2022 12:31

My final thought as I turned it off (again) was, 'hasn't David got skinny legs?'

I doubt that's the reaction and lingering memory that the writers were going for.

eddiemairswife · 19/11/2022 12:50

David doesn't look old enough to have a beard.

Yesthatismychildsigh · 19/11/2022 14:39

David’s hair was full on Liberace bouffant last night. I suspect he’s thinning a bit on top and trying to hide it.

EachandEveryone · 19/11/2022 15:39

i think he’s had a hair transplant they all have them these days

AutumnCrow · 19/11/2022 15:57

His hair makes his head seem twice as large as his hips. He needs more barms and less bouffant.

birder · 19/11/2022 16:15

Not a good look for a hairdresser.

Consequences!

Me too, hence I've not even bothered with Friday's.

Whataplanker · 20/11/2022 10:29

The whole radicalisation storyline is just so obvious and contrived. It is literally like watching the case study bit of the online Prevent Duty training course.
It could be a very interesting story but it has been executed poorly.

woodhill · 20/11/2022 12:05

It's not very nuanced

It's as exciting as the prevent training as well Grin

eggandonion · 20/11/2022 13:56

For a serial that ignored a pandemic, or where people took masks off inside, deciding on issues to showcase is strange.

lollipoprainbow · 20/11/2022 13:59

Jumping on the bandwagon springs to mind in light of recent headlines.

JellyBeanFactory · 20/11/2022 19:39

If you're still hanging in there, next weeks schedule is messed up due to football. Looks like Corrie is next on on Wednesday, then Thursday and Sunday.
I'll try and find official ITV notice (rather than rely on my TV scheduler!)

bizzey · 20/11/2022 21:41

Thanks for the heads up for next Sunday.
I have to manually record my programs I would not have spotted it .

Emmerdale as well .

Cudz · 21/11/2022 11:52

Just caught up with Friday's Corrie. I'm absolutely sick to death of this whole Spider/Griff/Max storyline now. Its just beyond far fetched. I'm really not sure I can carry on watching and Max's 'acting' is really grating on me

AutumnCrow · 21/11/2022 11:55

I'm not bothered about missing Corrie now. I'm not watching the world cup either, so I may get a lot of work done this week and next ...

Igglepiggleslittletoe · 21/11/2022 12:20

Max is a dreadful actor - the only worse one is that kid... cant think of his name but Kevins son. Actualy where are the Kevin and Abbie people these days?
