Jack has always been a bit grumpy and self righteous. He was good with Ronnie, but there isn't much to his character now Max isn't in it. The character came across well helping Max with his long list of crises, but lately he's just come across as a bit of a personality vacuum.

Him and Denise are quite similar in that they both communicate by shouting and pointing much of the time, but even they look bored of each other. There has been some odd pairings in recent years.

I do think Linda has good chemistry with Alfie. I quite like Phil and Kat too. I don't think Kat and Alfie should be back together. Are they angling for Martin getting back with Stacey? Him wondering around that party looking bewildered with the young uns hinted at him settling down. Is Ruby coming back?

I'm the first to moan how unrealistic the soap is, but the meeting yesterday and a long wait for mental health services was spot on and Martin feeling his age amongst the younger people was also good : I know he isn't exactly ancient , but a single dad on the square would feel a bit out of place with the likes of Zack and Felix etc.
( Especially as Zack is such a Romeo and in good shape too!!)
I would like Zack to hook up with Whitney.

I thinkJack portrayed a parent's reaction very well too. The way he flipped between all the emotions was very realistic. I also think he acted it well.

I really like Felix and Finlay. Although Felix is about a foot taller than anyone else in his family 😂

Felix is fab. His facial expressions are funny and he would be great to know in real life!

It's another hanging story that made little sense although I did like the flash back episode they did and young Phil in that was great

I was wondering what happened with the Keeble storyline. So is Billy not going to jail now and she has just dropped her decades long vendetta?! When Phil left to go to an undisclosed place with his one small hold-all he phoned somone and said “I need your help” I wondered if it was Grant to get help silencing Keeble or finding dirt on her.
I hate the way they just leave these plots unresolved.
