I'm not a fan of Jack either. Boring, self-righteous and surprisingly lairy for a policeman. I remember the scene where he was trying to woo Mel and he pulled up alongside her in a hired sports car, listening to Sade and wearing a turtleneck sweater 😂I'm not sure if they are trying to depict him as a hunk or a personality vacuum. I think the actor is much more charismatic in real life though?

We are in desperate need of some eye candy in EE. The good looking guys seem to be psychopaths, which puts a dampener on things.

I can’t stand Alfie’s overacting. The unnatural way he acts around the kids or when he’s being “hilarious”. I will be very pissed off if they put him back with Kat (why would she even contemplate it when he’s abandoned the kids for years, the man’s a feckless deadbeat), or with poor Linda (hasn’t she suffered enough).
Where is Stu when you need him (to push someone off a bridge)?

He's been a postie for a good few weeks now. They did have a brief two line scene when someone said "I didn't know you were a postie" and he replied "it's my first day" or something like that.

anyone else watching this wondering how ANY of this storyline is supportive of kids who self harm.. the way they've written jack reacting its going to do so much damage... if kids watching this are self harming, how are they ever going to feel safe talking to family about it?

How can they write stuff like this with support of the experts and get it so spectacularly wrong?

The writing is really really bad. Jacks made out to be a Neanderthal when he did so well with Tiffany's rape storyline. Alfie was doing okay with Linda and now they've put out this phils money has been robbed storyline. The panesars have disappeared into thin air. It's like they cram everything into one episode and then leave the next one bland.
