not sure if s2 carries on or completely new story /characters as the names don’t ring a bell

Christine’s family, oldest son Will (Lloyd Everitt), youngest son Jamie (Aaron Anthony) and daughter Megan (Mali Ann Rees), are trying to get on with their lives after the recent tragic death of their brother Liam.

As they look forward to Megan’s wedding, the family have their lives turned upside down when a stranger, Connor (Jordan Wilks), arrives in town claiming a connection that nobody could have imagined.

As buried secrets come to light, they must consider who they are and grapple with morality and divided loyalty. As their lives spiral out of control, a terrible pact may be all that can save them.

Well least they did dna test


I did think she would fake it - I would have trundled to post box with it / with all 4 so all knew that swab /box been posted


Maybe had two tests - with some strangers swab

To look so much like Liam , has to be him


If she didn't fake the test then must be the dads son


As was only tested against mum


What was on the dongle / as in whose birth certificate


Is it meant to be connors


Wonder what they did and what she wants destroyed/to go missing - the birth certificate

Conner and Liam are twins neither are hers biologically - she's a social worker so

somehow took Liam as a baby? that's my theory anyway !

Do now I am wondering where the pact is (mum and her 2 friends seem to hint at sone past secret, which I thought was killing Harry but he appears to be alive and claiming benefits)

Killing Harry was my first early speculation, too.

I thought the first season was excellent, I just couldn’t get on with this and actually skipped two episodes and then watched the last one. It was that bad.

Well she can't have given birth to the new man else she would know his dna would match?

Oh what if you use surrogate fertilised egg? Would dna show you are mum if you were the one womb used. So she gave birth to twins but hid one? (For what reason I have no idea!)

I thought she faked the DNA result papers. I would not trust the letters she handed out to the kids. Very odd relationship with their mother. Father left 20 years ago and no info at all on what happened
she keeps getting info from the policeman. Does this mean she is the police character from the last series and has changed occupation? Otherwise why Is he giving her all this

Yes it's as if she was making a performance out of the swabbing for effect. I'm not clear if she's the same character from the previous series either. 😀She's obviously been covering up for Matthew Gravelle. Could she be an undercover cop?

She's very invested in the pregnant woman isn't she? Wonder what the backstory is.. and the woman in the care home was her mother who had been visited by Connor and thought he was Liam? 🤔

i was wondering in my late night musings /feeding baby that could. Conner be Liam’s twin and mum isn’t his bio mum as in lists and was dads affair and twins and she kept one and other Conner got adopted

Or between her and her friend with short hair , thst when girls come to them preg as they are social workers, that they are in baby selling business and take baby off the young girls and give to another couple who want a baby snd forge their birth certificates

I think Liam and conner twins and for whatever reason conner was left behind.
The mum and her other friend(long hair)did something years ago that they would be in trouble for now(so again something to do with keeping Liam and leaving conner)
I am enjoying it and love the cafe and pub/wine bar that we have seen..my kinda places!looks lovely where filmed.
I'm afraid that I will probably binge over the weekend so won't be able to join in anymore...don't know how you all manage to just watch weekly.
I would also be so confused if I had 3 or 4 series on the go..

he was born 11 April 1998 - died 25 may 20 but done weird like

11/4/98 and 25/5/20

surely you would put 1998 and 2020

so he died 22yrs and just over a month

so was 3mths younger than Liam

thats if the birthdate is correct. Conner said it was the one he was given

if he was in care from one he could have been born same day and be twins and thry guessed his age and if small under aged him

tho obv if in care from day 1 a newborn bsby isn’t the same as a 3mth baby

Yes, Connor said he only had the birth date that was given to him .

Why is Christine so secretive about everything ~ not just what her and the two colleagues were up to years ago but also about her mother . I too think the colleague's husband knows more than he's letting on .

And the policemen has some secret to keep which Christine is threatening to talk about. Maybe he's involved with whatever happened between all three colleagues .

Can't agree with the PPs saying it's slow, I think it's a really good drama .

Agree - I found the first episode slow, but from the second I was gripped.

Assume 3&4 are good @Emotionalsupportviper but you can’t sat as binged 😂😂😂
