Just finished the 3rd episode and im finding it quite unsettling, I didn’t expect it to have that kind of effect.
I am however really enjoying it and will see it through.
Anyone else watching it at the moment?

I watched 2 episodes yesterday and it's all kinds of meh. I'm going to watch it to the end just out of sheer curiosity but I won't enjoy it 🤣 I'm sparing the last two episodes of manifest season 3. Season 4 is out in November and I just know its going to end in a massive cliff hanger

mycatisannoying · 18/10/2022 12:52

I had never seen Jennifer Coolidge until now. She couldn't act to save herself! At least not in this.

nokitchen · 18/10/2022 19:20

Right old crap that was

DillDanding · 18/10/2022 20:08

I really loved Jennifer Coolidge in Friends. But she was rubbish in this.

As someone upthread said, Nora's (and Nora btw, what a bloody awful name) penchant for White Company style clothes and those utterly ludicrous mahoosive glasses...

Who was she in Friends, I can't remember at all?

mrsjimhopper · 18/10/2022 20:33

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

She was 'Amanda darling' the friend that moved to London And went back to NY annoyed everyone with her fake British accent and natural aroma calling a cell phone a mobile ass arse etc season 3 I reckon.

She's also stiflers mom in American pie. She is a character actress. very over the top.

icelollycraving · 18/10/2022 21:17

She is also Bend and Snap.

Oh yes of course, thank you!

She'll always be MILF to me 😊

lazymum99 · 18/10/2022 22:05

She was really good in White Lotus

monsteramunch · 18/10/2022 22:45

She was excellent in the Christopher Guest films she featured in!

Afterfire · 18/10/2022 22:49

2 episodes in here and bored to death. Hate the Dad. What a chauvinist pig. How can the wife put up with him?!

yerdaindicatesonbends · 18/10/2022 22:56

Threw my back out this afternoon so ended up watching it in one sitting. It was reasonably good (but wouldn’t rewatch) and found the characters outlandish enough that the plot wasn’t spooky at all!

To add, it definitely didn’t need to be seven episodes!

JOFFCV · 18/10/2022 23:00

I thought it was fun and loved Stifler's Mum in it. I do like Niami Watts too.

I'm about half way though episode one. I'm trying to stick with it, but I can't bear the Dad.

Also, 2 police cars and blue lights for a dead ferret?!

Well yes because it was a violent intruder situation!

cutthelawn · 19/10/2022 11:02

can be said for many series/miniseries but then more episodes they can get in the more cash for them.

CrushingAndClueless · 17/10/2022 18:39

In now on the episode where the dead couple next door have just come back off their holiday. It’s all very strange.

Does anyone else think that the dad looks so much like the guy who played Baby’s dad in Dirty Dancing?!

All I could think everytime I seen the Dad was a cross between Negan from Walking Dead and Jack Branning from Eastenders 😂

Ithurtbad · 19/10/2022 13:51

Just finished it and what an ending. Not sure what to make of it too.
It was okay not the greatest I watched.

uhtredbebbanburg · 20/10/2022 11:48

I fell into a rabbit hole about John E List.

notappening · 20/10/2022 20:47

Finished it just now.

Disappointed overall. It just went round and round and the main couple were infuriating - all they seemed to do was accuse someone different every five minutes or change their mind about whether on not to sell up.

Dean was beyond weird with the daughter, and Nora was an absolute fucking drip who hung on Karen's every word.

I liked Theodora though.

Towcat15 · 20/10/2022 22:35

Just finished as well - just dreadful.

EarringsandLipstick · 21/10/2022 07:14

I binge watched it; the ending was very annoying (I get that it was based on a true story but I think they took complete liberties with that already, based on what I've read, so why not give us a decent ending!) but the actors were all great, I thought. Really believable, even when bizarre like Jennifer C's character.

But yes, I think if you have a storyline based on a whodunnit, it's cheating the viewer to leave it unresolved.

EarringsandLipstick · 21/10/2022 07:16

I'd like to discuss some of the plot lines in particular, eg Theodora's actions at the eve but know this isn't a spoiler thread ...

AnyFucker · 21/10/2022 07:18

Pile of crap. What was Naomi Watts thinking ?

EarringsandLipstick · 21/10/2022 07:19

Bobby Cannavale is in lots of things. I remember him from Nurse Jackie. He's in a relationship with Rose Byrne
