I used to love Faking It, not sure why it stopped being made. The ones with the Cornish clog dancer turned street dancer and the classical musician turned club DJ were my absolute favourites and I still go back and rewatch them now.

What TV programme would you like to see brought back?

OP posts:

Sunset Beach. It was absolutely bonkers and brilliantly so...

elQuintoConyo · 07/10/2022 20:50

The Interceptor - so silly.

Workinghardeveryday · 07/10/2022 20:52

Wheel of fortune

So You Think You Can Dance

i would love a one off special of Cheers

iRun2eatCake · 07/10/2022 20:54

New Tricks

Porridge

Only original characters though...which will prove tricky

FlutterbButterfly · 07/10/2022 20:54

Neighbours 😥😢😭😭😭😭

Yutes · 07/10/2022 20:55

I also loved a documentary channel 4 did about people with Dwarfism that acted
once a year in pantomime. I found it on YouTube a few years ago, but now I can’t remember what it was called.

A580Hojas · 07/10/2022 20:57

Father Ted. But then it would be impossible.

I honestly can't think of one, in all seriousness. TV series have their day and many outstay their welcome.

I sincerely cannot believe that we are once again in fucking Strictly Come Dancing season. I've never watched a whole episode, or more than 10 minutes of an episode! it dominates everything on the BBC. Please please please just bore off!

SunsetOverEasterIsland · 07/10/2022 20:57

Brookside and Time Team.

escapingthecity · 07/10/2022 20:59

There was one BBC series of The Crimson Field, a drama about women nurses in WW1. I think they were meant to follow them through the whole war, but it got cancelled. I loved it. I wish they'd followed it through.

Bad girls!

I feel like the early 2000's was a good time for tv.
The soap storylines were iconic; such as "you ain't my muva"

Backtoreality22 · 07/10/2022 21:16

I loved Survivor where the winner won a million pounds.

AsAnyFuleKno · 07/10/2022 21:17

I wish they'd do another incarnation of Space Cadets. The ruse would need to be different, of course, but it was brilliant TV.

HotSauceCommittee · 07/10/2022 21:19

The Equalizer.

HauntersGonnaHaunt · 07/10/2022 21:19

Reboots of TV shows are always shit.

midsomermurderess · 07/10/2022 21:20

I liked Indian Summers. It was pulled after two series. It would have moved on to Partition which would have been interesting. It not much covered here.

whirlyhead · 07/10/2022 21:20

Silk.

love maxine peake and did not like how this ended.

PurpleParrotfish · 07/10/2022 21:21

Where do you watch Faking It now OP? I only caught onto it when it had almost finished.

Teddeh · 07/10/2022 21:21

Recent reboots haven't been the greatest, BUT I would like Them to un-cancel The Wilds and run series/season 3 as planned. Otherwise those poor kids are going to be stuck up on top of that tower for eternity!

KangarooKenny · 07/10/2022 21:21

Treasure Hunt is coming back apparently.

The Generation Game
The Adventure Game

I'm in the mood for games!

I loved generation game. They did bring it back. It was supposed to be 3 pilot episodes with Mel and Sue presenting it. They ballsed up up big time and they scrapped it before finishing making the pilots.

I miss ‘Wish you were here’.

TreacsPotNoodle that storyline is just building up on Classic Eastenders on the Drama Channel!

AsAnyFuleKno · 07/10/2022 21:23

I wish they would finish off 'The Mill' (2013). It ended at a really exciting point, where we'd just found out the identity of the plantation overseer who murdered Peter's mother.

countvoncount · 07/10/2022 21:24

I loved The Lakes
Think I'd burst with joy if they put it on BritBox

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 07/10/2022 21:24

Stars in Their Eyes*
How Clean is Your House
House Doctor
Soldier Soldier

*original format please, NOT the hideous reboot with Harry Hill.
