Have really found the last two too sad to enjoy, honest but not the escapism I watch for.

Just caught up with the latest episode. Really hope they lighten the mood a bit in the Christmas special and the next series!

I missed last week's "Edward" episode, just caught up, and am crying. The moment where the deaf WVS lady lip reads what Edward says to Mrs Hall from the moving train...

I've just caught up, had a lump in my throat for the last scene.

Siegfried is such a softy and obviously loves Mrs Hall. I'm guessing the problem is that Mrs Hall is still married and can't marry anyone else until her abusive husband dies.

I was hoping for a pregnancy announcement which would have lifted the mood.

Loved the Edward episode. Watching episode 6, last in series now.

New series starting on channel 5. Can't wait.

@LIZS - I don’t know, but they are available for free as audiobooks on Borrow Box through local library, so I’m listening that way.

Borrow Box is brilliant, I recommend it.

^ I’ve just look it up on Amazon and can only see the old Christopher Timothy version on CD

And agreed Mrs Hall can not marry Mr Tache. I like to think as they've given named Mrs H Audrey after Donald Sinclair's wife that that was a big hint as to where they see the relationship going.

I do find James a bit annoying though, was a bit of a stretch to believe he'd have gone after that boy at the duck race plus stalked him to his house
