The cast is great and I am intrigued by the setting/sweeping scenery etc and it now all on Paramount.
So is it worth investing time?

I can’t understand it, accents are really strong and drawly, gutted as I was looking forward to getting into it.

GinandTonic1975 · 02/09/2022 20:41

It's absolutely fantastic one of the best things I have watched in ages, the cast is fantastic and the scenery breath taking, watch it you will be hooked!

anonacfr · 02/09/2022 22:10

On episode 2 and enjoying it! Agree that the accents are tricky but the first episode was promising.

If you find the accents tricky wouldn't you just use subtitles?

anonacfr · 03/09/2022 22:20

I got used to it! And changed the sound settings on my TV.
3 episodes in and I am hooked.

Loved it. Character development great as well.
Already planning the families "city slickers" holiday.

NotMyDayJob · 03/09/2022 22:42

It's fantastic, and 1883 as well which is the prequel. Best thing I've watched in a long time

GinBooksChocs · 03/09/2022 22:48

In really enjoyed Yellowstone.

There's a part of me which would love to be Beth but no one can carry on like that in real life.

ToastandJamandTea · 03/09/2022 22:51

It's incredible. The scenery is stunning and then there is Rip....😍

justasking111 · 03/09/2022 22:51

It's good, too violent for me but OH loves it

Happylittlethoughts · 05/09/2022 18:32

A family of cowboy psychopaths. Death counts are ridiculous per episode but still I watch.
I came on to ask if anyone has watched Season 4 episode 3?
What the hell was Beth's problem in the shop!??

GreenSalon · 05/09/2022 18:48

Love it and it’s not usually the kind of thing I watch. 1883 was fab too.
Got a bit too ranch-y in later series but I’ll keep going for series 5.
@Happylittlethoughts is that the one in which she was taking revenge for her sister in law being treated like a thief?

Happylittlethoughts · 05/09/2022 19:10

I didn't want to spoil it but it's not a huge plot like. She's taking "the boy" to buy clothes and freaks out when he tries on a shirt 🤷‍♀️ sure it's a trigger to her past but mystified right now

GreenSalon · 05/09/2022 21:18

Hmmm remember it happening but not the cause. It was a bit weird and continues that way for a bit…

anonacfr · 05/09/2022 22:02

Ok so I am officially addicted. Episode 8 of the first season and it is so good!

Fancy trying this, where do you get it?

Happylittlethoughts · 06/09/2022 00:11

Available various places but 4 Seasons are on Paramount+ , which comes with Sky.
I def watched Season 1 - 3 elsewhere tho .. . Yikes can't remember

As a pp said, she was taking revenge for her SIL being treated like a thief, and also, she had been at school with the shop's owner, and I think the woman had been horrible to Beth.

I saw that scene on a reel and it gave me the final push to start watching the show. Still a long way to go, clearly!
By the way anyone else loves the intro? And the soundtrack is pretty great too.

She offered to buy him jeans and boots and rather than being grateful he tried to get her to buy him a jacket as well. Guess she felt taken advantage of/disrespected. So she then refused to buy him anything. He wasn’t taking the jacket off when told to and she lost her shit. I felt maybe it’s meant to be connected to the fact she can’t have kids. She got this fantasy ideal that he would be like a son for her and Rip and then her illusion was shattered. Maybe I’m reading too much into it.

Yes, I think you're right in how it was explained, but her reaction was so over the top and aggressive 🤷‍♀️Not sure why that surprises me when they murder freely

Madamecastafiore · 06/09/2022 14:28

It's bloody brilliant. Rip yuck, but John Dutton, maybe it's a power thing but my god he's hot. Beth is bloody nuts.

anonacfr · 06/09/2022 20:56

Season 2 episode 3 and so far I don't get the Rip love. He is getting on my nerves big time.

Yes it’s very good

The scenery is incredible and the acting great

I don’t love Beth or the acting she does but at least there’s a reason for her being messed up
