Neighbours: for people who haven’t watched it for 15 years?!

As an original fan from the 80s/90s who hasn’t watched it in years, can anyone give a brief synopsis of current storylines so I get what’s going on in the final week?!

I haven't watched it since about 1990! Is Guy Pearce due to pop up?

For some reason I've always remembered the name of the original Scott - Darius Perkins. I just Googled him to see what he's doing now but he died from cancer in 2019. Then I googled Max Ramsey but it looks like he commuted suicide in 1994. I'm not googling anyone else now!!

It does look very cheap; weird to see the houses have been refurbished over the years but you can still work out whose house it is because of the layouts!

DH and I have been watching Neighbours this week too - we also have no idea what's going on and have been Googling frantically - we discovered the Glenn had a bit of a thing with (his half sister) Lucy Robinson when he first appeared in the 90s, but the BBC wouldn't show some of the episodes over here because it was incest

I didn't know Neighbours had ever been so gritty.

Can anyone tell me who lives where? I dont recognise many of the sets. Obviously Susan and Karl live in Des and Daphne's house, and Sophie Simpson from Home & Away (Terese?) is living in Clive's old house, but other than that it's hard to work out who lives where. Is Jane living in the house she used to live in with her nan?

UK Gold used to show old episodes of Neighbours and Eastenders. Would be great if they did that again from episode 1

She was the third Lucy, the really slutty one who had been in "adult" magazines etc

I was so surprised that the actor playing Mail not only looks like Karl K but he has his mannerisms too! Great acting for someone who has been off the scene for years.

Watching other soaps isn’t the same quality as neighbours

I've dipped in and out of Neighbours over the years, it's great comfort telly and I'm sad it's ending. I've watched it this week and have set up the Tivo box to record tomorrow. I loved it when I was in my teens and am looking forward to seeing how they end it. Sad times though but how is Home and Away still going?

I watch H & A too but I don’t feel
the love and comfort as I do for neighbours. It’s all beach life and half naked bodies - no thanks!.
