Is anyone else really excited about the new series tomorrow? I'm not sure if it's going to be a weekly episode or available to binge, but the trailer looks brilliant.

I can't wait to see what happens next although I'm dreading it too, as it inevitably will be the end of Kim in one way or another.

It was a satisfying ending, very pleased.

PuppyMonkey · 16/08/2022 20:16

I’m pleased and amused and sad and a little bereft it’s all over all at the same time. Perfect ending.

MsDogLady · 16/08/2022 20:27

Perfection

Summerof22 · 16/08/2022 20:35

Loved it too.

Playplayaway · 16/08/2022 20:41

What a brilliant ending 👏

Sad it's ended 😞

VaseFromMars · 16/08/2022 21:35

Loved it.

VaseFromMars · 16/08/2022 21:36

Also I cried at the courtroom scene

Furries · 16/08/2022 21:47

That episode was sheer perfection. I’ve just finished it and am wiping away the tears.

The only thing giving me a slight lift is the thought of House of Dragons starting next week - am hoping it’s something epic to get my teeth into.

Am very jealous of a family member who will be starting BCS in the autumn - I keep telling them that they’re in for a real treat.

SocksAndTheCity · 16/08/2022 21:54

Loved it too. I'm glad they did it this way given all the possibilities 😊

KittenKong · 16/08/2022 22:14

😲😲😲😲😲

What an amazing show - so much to think about. Even though he was in prison, Jimmy was in a way free - to be himself. What a contrast to the Cinnabon days when he was afraid of everything. I loved the touch when he rang his Cinnabon colleagues. And it looks like Kim is back on the journey to being herself again.

viques · 16/08/2022 23:38

Too little too late from Jimmy/Saul/Gene, but it was enough to get Kim back on board, so even though everyone with a moral compass , including a bent
murdering ex cop and a drug dealer, thinks you are shit on their shoe a bus load of convicts and a woman who deserves better don’t, so that’s ok.

Perfect ending, Jimmy was Jimmy to the end. Great to see Betsy Byers back. I don’t understand the US criminal system, I am assuming it was an accurate representation of plea bargaining.

What a series, brilliant scripts, acting, plotting. Many thanks too to the MN plot spotters who are so good at spotting and remembering the twists and turns that most of us missed, without you I would be wearing my puzzled face more often. Have a Cinnabon bun on me.

KatharineofAragon · 16/08/2022 23:44

Just no words… sheer brilliance. There is nothing else that comes close.

viques · 17/08/2022 00:32

Oh my goodness. Just gone back to episode 1 and realised the significance of that final scene with Jimmy and Kim leaning up against the wall smoking. Wow.

That scene was what made me cry - as soon as she offered the cigarette, I was just gone. Right back to the beginning.

Future shows have a lot to live up to. I don’t think anything will touch the sheer brilliance ofBB and BCS.

biddyboo · 17/08/2022 08:27

I loved it so much. That wasn't how I thought it was going to end at all. I was expected Jimmy to be killed or to do everything he could to escape justice. But he faced up to what he did and accepted the the punishment, and he did it for love 🙂 She left him because she said they brought out the worst in each other, but, ultimately, she brought out the best in him.

WombatChocolate · 17/08/2022 10:35

That was a satisfying end. I’d hoped Kim would be back on track to helping the legal aid cases that she excelled at and really gave her a buzz….
and she was. I guess we don’t know if Howard’s wife did sue her in the civil court for all she had (which wasn’t much) - but we don’t actually need to know that.

Couldn’t have foreseen the way Jimmy re-emerged in the Court scene to take himself from the 7 year deal he’d bargained for, to the confession and responsibility taking that gave him 86 years in the end. Liked Kim’s tiny smile in the court room as Jimmy re-emerged.

Loved the scene with Walter White and Saul and the one with Mike and Jimmy. Liked the way those showed their motives/regrets - that Mike wished he’d never got into the dodgy stuff, but Walter had no regrets for that, just bitterness about his business loss to his partners, and for Saul, at that point there was no real regret, just a focus on scamming and on money. Only hearing about Kim confessing seemed to turn him back to Jimmy.

Do you think it was on the plane that he decided to confess all, after he was told Kim would be sued in civil court, or had he already decided that?

Loved it. And sad it’s ended.

howdidigethere · 17/08/2022 12:08

The time machine references and flashbacks showing how self serving and venal Saul/JIm can be. Walter's comment " you were always like this" was very damning. Mike's regrets versus Jim's. Chuck saying "if you're on the wrong path you can go back and take another path" ignored by Jimmy. You think he's going to shaft Kim too but then the glorious court scene where he wins Kim and us viewers back!

It's been absolutely wonderful. I will so miss it when gone. Lalo was just amazing until the end.

What are your thoughts so far? Theories, best bits etc?

Wow that last episode was so brilliantly put together - the way he manipulated everyone just to stop Kim from hating him. Masterful acting by Bob O in those scenes.

Loved the Chuck cameo - the bit where he said "We're brothers - you'd do the same for me" and Chuck's response (or lack of) slayed me 😢

I've been rewatching BB series 1 all week, and picking up on so many references to things which come much later - several series later or even in BCS. It's incredible the level of detail that's gone into creating this world and all the characters' backstories.

Another very satisfied customer here ☺️

The last episode was superb - managed to get Walter White in for another cameo (after Jessie meeting Kim last week outside Saul's office!)

Marie Schraeder as well (remember Hank and Andy Gomez appeared briefly earlier in the last series).

Even managed to dredge up people like Bill Oakley, Chuck McGill and Mike Ehrmentraut.

Only Skyler White missing.

It was a poignant moment at the end when Jimmy and Kim were sharing a cigarette in the interview room at ADX Montrose just like they did at the start in the underground carpark at Hamlin, Hamlin and McGill.

He behaved well at the end but gutted they turned the adorable Kim into a frump

Yumtr · 18/08/2022 08:16

I loved this last episode. I just had a niggling feeling that he surely wouldn’t have given up the 7 years like that. But reading your post margotmoon , of course I get it now, it was for Kim.

Yumtr · 18/08/2022 09:12

Also I loved Kim in this series so nice to have a woman in that sort of role. And loved Marie at the end too

I'm on the last half hour now. It's so good. He just never seems to stop. I was not expecting that!
