To go to a party and bitch about the host and allow yourself to be filmed? No one does that. They wait till they are in the car or are at home. Or they don’t go.

Maeva and Jim remind me of my ex’s mum and dad. She is the eternal gobshite. He is quiet. You’d think she had him by the baws every day and twice on Sunday. (And she out Maeva’d Maeva by quite some way)

He very much wears the trousers. Despite appearances and the public mouthing, I do think his dad was exceedingly capable of reeling in her neck and having an opinion. Just quietly so.

I reckon Jim might be the same.

I see Olz is throwing his filler about in the preview for the next episode on all 4.

Amd that flaky Liv is letting Inga cop it despite saying that they’re friends again. Some friends are more equal than others…

Watching his socials too he's just a bit sick.he has done a whole ask me anything videos and they are all qs about sex. Anal ,how hard he like it,rough etc.

Miles seems very predictable, the poor girl that has come from Australia will last 1-2 dates. James can blurt out very nasty hateful comments, no idea why he wouldn't invite Tris to the wedding but no way now after the article.

yes definitely agree Ella is in on the plot.. it's a way in for her to posh London life and it might get her a few more followers... if Miles dumps her after 1 date then so much the better (for her)
I think the producers clearly trial new female characters by bringing them in as Miles "girlfriend" - it's how Inga got the gig and Maeva and now Jasmin, Willow and Issy - they all get dumped and then either sink or swim afterwards!
Miles is the new Jamie - as that was basically his side job too

The James story is strange, he’s needlessly being an a hole and surely the whole show is suspended disbelief re some of their friendships, ie Issy comes in and is socialising immediately and that’s fine. He just sounds awful

Just caught up with the latest Miles shenanigans. Inviting a girl who he has clearly been wooing for several weeks/ months to london from the other side of the world and getting cold feet almost immediately and distancing himself is actually pretty bad behaviour.

I know we shouldn’t take this stuff too seriously…. But he told Izzy he didn’t want to waste his time dating her and she was too young as he was looking to settle down but anytime that anyone says anything to him about having a serious relationship he backs off really quickly.

not sure it is unrequited love for Emily, I think he just likes being a fuck boi…. Remember when they shared a flat and she was really disgusted with him shagging a different girl every night. I don’t think she’ll go there. Plus I think she has a serious boyfriend now.

It was so obvious it wouldn’t last. I doubt he liked her that much when she arrived even.

Ruby is a stirrer though and like Maeva likes to jealously guard Miles. They both go in strong re people want him more than he does them

Sam Prince is slowly morphing into Clare Balding.

James is lovely and reminds me of a Great Dane surrounded by a pack of yappy Yorkshire terriers and tolerating them. But he did used to be an absolute prick at the very beginning.

Liz reminds me more of Bet Lynch every day.

Tristan .. used to love him but now getting slightly creepy vibes.

Digby, sweet but can't help but imagine him as a very average shag.

Maeva, fabulous, great TV but very happy it's an hour a week and I don't have to deal with her in real life.

Miles, all a bit yawn. Obviously pretty and can be entertaining but we've seen it all now surely?

well it is hard to be sure Sisi - I would agree with you that it is very possibly pre planned but unless Ella is a fantastic actress she did seem to genuinely like Miles (as girls seem to do - they all fall for him) and it's a bit crap to be dragged across the world for 2 weeks to be with someone you think is into you, having met your mum on zoom etc and then be publicly dumped with everyone in Chelsea gossiping about you.
I did enjoy Paris and Robbie making friends again (but what was that painting!?!)
I don't like it when Robbie tears up!

Miles is fine.hes been in Bali for 5 weeks! Partying hard last night.living in luxury.

It's the first time I realised that James is actually a far more dominant and ruthless figure than I gave him credit for. Because it looks like Maeva controls him as she's louder/more histrionic but really he wears the trousers in every dynamic. He's gotten Maeva to move to the sticks with no friends or family and emotionally/financially dependent on him (in the UK anyway). He and Miles were mates and then he ended that friendship to get with Maeva. He's now done the same with Tristan - but he makes Maeva the villain when he wants out of friendships himself, and plays the patient, put upon bf. He completely dictated the engagement decision as well. I think he gives Maeva the illusion of control but she actually has less say in her relationship or life than any of the other girls, and I think that's what makes her insecure and aggressive.

@ganvough That is a very interesting perspective. I really had not seen the friendship point you make. He does blame her, or rather make others blame her.

Once she she has the baby things are going to be very much on his terms. Tht is when controlling men really show their true colours.

I also see James as controlling. The moving to saffron Walden is a biggy and it makes me really sad for maeva. She's getting isolated.
