Definitely warmed to Temps so much nicer than the others. The “my boys” chat was so cringe. Laughed at Miles asking James if a coconut had fallen on his head.
Don’t understand Lauren going off the rails about Yaz when she was openly getting with Harvey and Tristan just half an hour ago

Jekiffe · 15/11/2023 13:18

I find it hilarious how Ruby has become the priest figure who constantly pronounces on whether other people’s business is OK or not

Also the plot holes in MIC just get bigger and bigger

Ruby said she was going to be living with her pal Sam Prince less a month ago, back when he split from Inga and had nowhere to go. Back then Ruby was pompously ‘declaring her loyalty’ to him and Yas 🤮. So why did we not see Sam’s moving in with her and (presumably since she now hates him and throws drinks on him) him moving out? All very odd.

Inga is now leaving - but in what sense? Chelsea? The show? That is the obvious next question for Princey to ask her, but he didn’t - the rigged MIC conversation format fakery stretched at the seams there

Where is Willow?

And why should Lauren the flirter in front of each housemate give a shit what tiny thing Yas says to Tristan? That is super wierd. Yas is a decent person you can tell.

Lauren is coming over as a soulless machine of man pleasing self advancement. She’s not likeable and definitely isn’t bringing her whole self to the programme which is absolutely fine. She’s playing a part but I like watching how she absolutely doesn’t do any feelings when it comes to the boys. Just how they are with the girls. I don’t think she ‘likes’ the poor man’s Daniel Craig, Tristan, for a second but I do think she very much likes being on the show. That was her second big showdown scene with someone and it’s all pretty spurious and unconvincing yet again.

And why the fuck is gorgeous Bella the failed shit stirring villain (bulldozed out of that spot by Lauren on arrival) bothering with Rez again? Massive meh.

Must try harder, MIC writers!

in other news I was happy to see Harvey getting a second pie-ing in two weeks, this time from Jasmine. Freddy’s a silly young boy but Harvey is dull as ditchwater and can only speak to advertise his beer business. Jasmine has made an excellent decision.

I’m probably looking forward to seeing how things go in ‘Beefa as much as Liv and Temps are, bless them both. They are the best couple.

Maeva and James’ relationship confuses me. Is the controlling and criticism of him thing supposed to be about love and loyalty?

Good spot about Sam P living with Ruby, @Jekiffe!

Ruby's breast implants are way too big and look so hard and uncomfortable - has she had larger ones put in recently? They dominate all her scenes. Personally I do not see Yas' beauty - she has nice hair and eyes but looks huge and lumbering compared to the other girls. Also don't see how she is now being framed as the victim in the whole thing of Sam and Inga's night together, with Ruby and everyone leaping to defend her and catch out Inga, when in fact Yas was the OW who participated in the swift and brutal break-up of Inga's 2-year relationship - of course there was going to be baggage to unpack there, and what did everyone think was going to happen given the way Yas and Sam started?

Still can't stand Lauren's voice but she seems to be a full-on psycho, which is nice as I don't think we've had one of those since Maeva's single days. Bring on next week...

hellosally · 17/11/2023 15:24

I dont get how anyone likes Maeva and finds her behaviour acceptable. I would wonder if her relationship with James is mutually abusive, her always telling him what to do and putting him down, him continually playing the victim of a hen-picked husband but in reality being quite controlling. I always feel uncomfortable watching them both

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 17/11/2023 16:47

I’m sure Maeva and James go home and laugh at the people who buy that this is all real instead of enjoying it for the soap opera it is.

Huge and lumbering? Have a word with yourself. I'll bet she's a size 10, surrounded by size 6s. Horrible, personal comment.

ShockShockShock

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 17/11/2023 17:13

I was ‘huge and lumbering’ in the 80s compared to my friends. A size 8-10.

I wasn’t aware that they had both succumbed to eating disorders.

I am genuinely huge and lumbering now and Yas, to me, looks beautiful.

She reminds me of Amanda de Cadenet. Who also would have looked much larger than my friends and yet she bagged one of the more eligible chaps of the time.

mizu · 17/11/2023 17:13

Yasmin is stunning and has a gorgeous body! Wow to pp Shock

Jekiffe · 17/11/2023 20:13

Yasmine is so gorgeous and like everyone on that show she is absolutely minuscule. She does wear ginormous oversized jackets with shoulderpads on every occasion (which is how I can tell she’s a nice normal person really- she’s literally donning her armour to go in to work, poor thing) but that is very much just clothes.

WhiskerPatrol · 18/11/2023 00:03

Yeah, it is mostly the shoulders that create the impression. Maybe it's just terrible clothes that make her look like a rugby player? Or terrible posture. Or all the others being unusually tiny. I just don't see why everyone bangs on about her being so stunning. All the girls are pretty.

JudyGemstone · 19/11/2023 10:22

Yas is a total pick me girl.

she has one personality for the girls and another for the boys. It was so fucked up for her to bunk up with Sam within a couple of days of him splitting up with Inga. Awful.

Inga is the best looking and coolest girl on there no contest.

AlmondButterToast · 19/11/2023 12:14

I really like Yas, I think she was feeling low and a bit vulnerable when she got with Tristran and Sam she'd just lost her grandmother. Inga and Yas are both beautiful and seem like lovely people- they've both fallen for guys that would never make good boyfriends as well (Miles and Sam). It would be nice to see them in healthy relationships with decent men but then would it still be Made in Chelsea.

Totally agree! I haven't always watched MIC, but having watched some back episodes recently as well as the current ones, it's starting to seem like she's always been naggy and controlling to say the least. I don't know why he doesn't stand up to her more.

At least he didn't obey her when she ordered him to go to the toilet. 😂

vjg13 · 20/11/2023 09:34

I think Maeva and James just ham it up to live up their "roles".

Exactly. She's a pantomime baddie. I bet James is still dull in real life though.

I wouldn't say she is, 'miniscule' but that's not a bad thing, she's an attractive woman but why does that have to equate to 'miniscule'.

I find James disconcerting and pompous, he seemingly has to tell everyone his view on things. However, watching MIC from the outset, most of the men do seem to possessive a self importance about them and that women are not really their equals but people to possess or boss around.

Goldenbear · 20/11/2023 10:46

My DH can't stand the show, although will watch it to have a laugh, especially in the Spencer days but he is flummoxed by these fairly old fashioned views projected from men in their 20s and 30s, DH is early 40s and is no feminist but he just finds it bizarre.

I was gobsmacked by James's reaction to Maeva proposing to him a few series ago. He actually seemed insulted by it, as thought she'd dented his manhood in some way. I think my response would have been 'OK, sod you then.'

Yes, exactly, many of them appeared to be referencing the manhood manifesto on how to be a man.

Goldenbear · 20/11/2023 11:31

Appear not 'appeared'.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 20/11/2023 12:02

I don’t think for a minute that that was for anything other than the drama.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 20/11/2023 12:04

And if his manhood was that dented, the Trevi proposal wouldn’t have happened mere weeks later.

They know it is all about the story too 😉
