Looks looks interesting. I like seals whether house wife etx

This brand new Channel 5 series follows tenants in social housing who are looking to swap their homes across the UK.

It will show how people are changing their lives by changing their postcode.

In every episode tenants search for their ideal property, going on a series of viewings to find and hopefully agree an exchange. And with home swapping there are no estate agents, so it is down to the tenants to do the convincing and seal the deal.

It is a vital part of life for many council house tenants who bid for a better life, or simply a change in scenery, the series sets out to be a heart warming exploration into this hidden world.

Commenting on the commission, commissioning editor at Channel 5 Daniel Louw said, "Property shows can sometimes feel like ‘how the other half live’. This series takes us into an exciting but unexplored world of trading up and moving on."

Exec producer Tayte Simpson added “Now more than ever, people are taking stock and rethinking their lives, particularly when it comes to where they live. Priorities are changing, from wanting more space and moving further out, to being closer to family...or perhaps further away! Set in the world of social housing, this series provides a fresh take on the property show”

The 6x60 series was commissioned by Daniel Louw and will be executive produced by Tayte Simpson. Coco Maclehose will series produce the show which will air at 9pm.

I might give this a go on the player thingy, was it good Blondes?

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2022 09:31

Yes just watching now

Basically they put their house on a site to swap and people view it and decide whether to swap

One lady is sharing her room with her think 9yr son

Not sure why she doesn’t put him in with the older son and bunk beds / single

Or she share with her teenage daughter

Alfie likes climbing. I would not allow him to climb the shed room ffs

What is the mum thinking of

I watched this. Interesting program

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2022 14:12

Yes I found weird that the blonde lady/Alfie’s mum could chose who was allowed to go and look at hers

They might not like it

Why have 5 kids when in a 3 bed

OP posts:
StaplesCorner · 18/03/2022 00:17

Seems like this wasn't popular? But how come the older couple with the 23/27 year old girls sharing a bedroom were actually entitled to a 3 bed council house at all?

thinking123 · 18/03/2022 06:49

Yea we couldn't work out why they wanted to move. Their daughters would surly be leaving home soon abs they loved their house

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2022 07:42

Yes I wondered that.

Tho guess If swapping they will be happy to pay the extra tax for 3rd bedroom

But yes I moved out at 26/27 and got a mortgage

Also the single man who had the huge spare bedroom and think was paying £217 a week

Obv that’s still cheap for rent - but costly for council and
If no need for third bedroom

Wonder why they don’t do grade with council

foxlover47 · 18/03/2022 11:42

I watched this ! The curly woman drove me a bit mad with her big up herself the whole time and she told the Hertfordshire lady her house was her fave but she actually preferred the other house with the car port 🤣🙈🤣

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 18/03/2022 13:19

Yep, she’s annoying me😆
I’m still watching though so she might redeem herself later on?

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2022 14:09

Still can’t get why blonde lady /Alfie’s mum wanted to move

She had a garden and bedroom fir don

Think they all had dogs as well. Anyone notice that

OP posts:
foxlover47 · 18/03/2022 14:18

Is that the only one so far ? I wonder if they go back and see if they do actually swap
I was watching Alfie climb the shed like this 🙈

gamerchick · 18/03/2022 14:21

Having done the council swap thing IRL it may be interesting.

It was not fun doing it though. It was a mega pain in the arse

CheesePlantMurderer · 18/03/2022 17:13

Never done it yourself then? Grin

I'll say I'm not in a hurry to do it again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2022 17:56

Can’t say I have but moving house was bad enough

OP posts:
gamerchick · 20/03/2022 18:05

Moving house is always crap no matter what form the exchange of houses is like.

The worst part was the swapping on the day. Vans being on time so houses were empty at the same time. Never works out like that. Always the thought the removal company might let you down and have another household sitting outside the door in your head. Then them moving stuff in while you're still moving stuff out and inevitably leaving something behind.

Then finding out the house you've moved into took all of the light bulbs when you left yours.

Be a while entertaining the thought of doing it again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2022 18:31

Yes lightbulbs , loo paper and roll, shower curtain rail and something else that I can’t remember, was 22yrs ago 😱😂

that blond curly haired one was a right cow

her house was immaculate but she was awful

The cheek of her, ranting about the woman who decided to swap with someone else- when she wouldn’t even commit to letting her do a viewing on her house.
Offredismysister · 21/03/2022 07:15

I wonder if the curly haired woman had upset her neighbours. She came across as overly familiar, like she’d be your best mate within days, then completely turn on you.

The other couple came across as so entitled.
