I don't think Bernie has a learning disorder she is vulnerable and restricted due to poverty, a victim of circumstances.

It's sad that young women put themselves through childbirth for cash.

I'm glad Stu is going for the operation.

Mick delighted to see saint Janine back.

coldlistened · 31/03/2022 20:13

Yes I agree Karen shouldn’t be taking the surrogacy money off Bernie. If my daughter were to go through such an ordeal I’d hate myself for taking the money off her.

Karen and Mitch are adults, I think the surrogacy money was like £30,000. Bernie could do so much with that.

I think her character will just end up being a mum to this baby though with no ambitions. They money will be forgotten about (presumably having been spent by the Taylor’s on various bills).

I’m guessing Rainie will expect Bernie to look after the baby whilst she sorts Stuart out. Stuart will be fine in the end but Bernie will be attached to the baby by then and won’t give him back.

I must admit I chuckled when we saw the baby, he looked like Stuart Grin

coldlistened · 31/03/2022 20:13

Though I haven’t watched tonight’s episodes yet so my post above may be wrong?!

SuitcaseOfWhine · 31/03/2022 21:03

I don't think Bernie has learning disabilities. She was doing really well working for the Panesars and was good at chess. Think she was just a bit naïve in the past as she tends to see the best in people. Would like her to meet a nice girl and be happy for a change.

I am wondering if Linda is going to show up for this funeral and see Janine and realise what she has done. Unless she is too drunk to see properly.

Is Isaac leaving for good? I hope not. Unless he doesn't end up going after all.

coldlistened · 31/03/2022 21:11

I will say the birth scenes were the most clichéd ever. It was like watching a parody. All of the tropes were there. Feckless dad not knowing what to do, going through all of the classic ‘helpful’ suggestions such as singing and ice chips. Mum generally being horrible and insulting everybody, gripping somebody’s hand so much she stops the circulation.

A nightmare.
It's a ridiculous storyline that both Karen and Mitch are employed, wasn't Mitch's overtime £500 from the taxi company, the missing money.
Kat definitely called it overtime.
They've had many drinks in the Vic enough to clear the debts twice.

flyingdream · 31/03/2022 23:01

I'm liking Bernie and I hope we see more of her. I don't get Lola at all. She just seems like a spare tyre...doesn't do much really...

I'm loving the Kim storyline. I would like her to have a happy ending after what happened with cheater Vince.

coldlistened · 31/03/2022 23:31

Lola seems to be around purely to pay the role of the mother to Ben’s child.

TomBradysLeftKneecap · 31/03/2022 23:55

Was that a Grange Hill reference to calling the baby Roland, Roly for short?!

Todays episode was cheese from start to finish but I loved it.

The name reminded me of Den and Angie's poodle dog! Wasn't je called Roly?

Also, the way they looked at Stu's nan Vi when they announced it, I thought maybe that's the name she had given or wanted to give her disabled son that she had adopted?!? Or am I just imagining that 🤔

EmeraldShamrock1 · 01/04/2022 07:45

Kim brings the sunshine to the show, it would be boring and dull without her.
I love her character.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/04/2022 07:53

Watched this weeks catch-up now .

I was FFS when Nana Highway sidled back , predictably rude to Mr Herbal Powder , threatening him with violence Hmm

The labour scene predictably Soap Style , half expented her to scream You'reNeverGettingNearMeAgain,StuartHughway

EmeraldShamrock1 · 01/04/2022 07:55

^You'reNeverGettingNearMeAgain,StuartHughway^ 🤣 brilliant 👏

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/04/2022 10:16

iknowimcoming · 01/04/2022 10:22

I'd forgotten till last night that Kim is convinced Howie is gay! Bless!

So the conversation between Chelsea and Whitney about Whit moving in - does this mean that they will pay the mortgage between them? Whitney has a market stall (maybe?) and Chelsea hasn't ever really held down a proper job that I can recall and has a newborn baby Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/04/2022 10:36

I am suprised mortgage wasn’t paid off when Chantelle died

Grey was savvy. Would have had life insurance

They agreed £10k fir surrogacy so owed about £3-3k as paid third when preg then another third at 20w scan

The Carter’s are always poor tho run a pub so how will they pay for the funereal of snout £5k

Glad stuart having the op

Roll was the poodle 😂😂

No, more likely a reference to Sharon's dog, Roly, who she had for years until Grant accidentally ran him over.
TotoAnnihiliation · 01/04/2022 10:46

I too like Lola, but they haven't didn't much with get character development. She is still the same as same as when she was a teenager. She is trapped as an eternal adolescent.

ItsNotNormalLove · 01/04/2022 11:01

How come Jay was upstairs in the Vic organising Tina's funeral? Doesn't he work on the car lot now?

girlmom21 · 01/04/2022 11:42

Grey was savvy. Would have had life insurance

What happens if you claim on life insurance then get found out for the murder?

the80sweregreat · 01/04/2022 11:44

Im sure life insurance has a 'clause ' about being a murdering so and so

PinkDaydreams · 01/04/2022 13:05

Why is Lola moping around about Isaac going to Trinidad? Am I missing something? His mum is ill, he wants to see her.

the80sweregreat · 01/04/2022 13:30

Another one leaving then:(
Be nobody left soon
Except the kids

Thymeout · 01/04/2022 13:44

Isaac's mum thought a relationship would make him ill again and did everything she could to stop him being involved with Lola. She planned to take him back to Trinidad to live there permanently with her and Patrick.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/04/2022 14:20

It would go to the kids in trust

As long as Grey didn’t benefit
