And giant baby born at 24w is now almost 11w old and apparently coming home so is 35w if in womb ………

Gillian Wright was just amazing tonight. A great actress, as is the actress who plays Stacey..
well done to all tonight for the poignancy of tonight's episode

Yes excellent episode, Lacey Turner and Gillian Wright were incredible, that scene in the sea was very moving, I didn’t expect to well up at Jean’s story, Eastenders at its best.

Tonight's episode was really well done, but quite distressing as it reminded me of when I was very ill on and off for 15 years. I could physically feel some of what Jean was feeling.

Martin's frustration came through well I thought. Stacey was panicking and didn't know what to do ( who would ?) it was a nice touch that he was there to remind her of how she was with Arthur and how you need to be a bit rational , which isn't easy in a situation like that of course as Jean wasn't well :(
I hope we see her recovery over time.

Stacey and Martin were good together. He calmed her down.

Good as a couple I mean, rather than just good last night. I hope they get back together.

Stacey talking away whist putting on her boots and clothes to go after her mum was so realistic !
It's not until you see really wooden acting ( such as the members of the public in southend !) you realize how good she can be at playing her character. Must have been hard for the actress playing Jean , but she carried it off and they must have been freezing in that water too and it would have been March time as well I guess as they film the scenes in advance!
The hall of mirrors is creepy enough in normal times , I hate any attraction like that

I thought Lily has been a good actress to over the last weeks.

Hats off to Lacey Turner and Gillian Wright there. Very well done.

I felt they may have a stand in at one point in the water as they showed Stacey's back of her head for a while and it didn't really look like her from the back, but I could be wrong! It just looked a bit strange for a minute.
I'd be interested to know how they filmed that bit as you couldn't stay in freezing water for that long while they filmed it? Especially in a heavy dress.
They do seem to have a thing about brides and water too on EE! Roxy and Ronnie, Linda and micks wedding involved a lake , now this.

There was no consistency on the rollercoaster with the arms up/down thing. It's strange they couldn't manage consistency there but managed a house of mirrors without accidentally getting a dodgy camera shot!

It was a very good episode though.

I'm still wondering how she bought an armband for the ride or how she got to southend ? It's a fairly long way from the east end even on a train. She didn't have any cash or cards for the burger.
It was a bit inconsistent at times but still well done and the bits filmed in Technicolor were good

wedding cakes are heavy. No way was that a real cake. Small matter but bugged me

That cake was so fake!
It looked nice though ( the bit he cut )not a fruit one , it looked like an iced red velvet cake or something?
I do feel a bit sorry for Harvey though , he may be an idiot , but I think he genuinely liked Jean and was happy for a while ? He has a lot going on.

The scene when she was sitting on on the sand drawing the heart was well done. All the people giggling and having fun in the sun on the beach, but when the camera angle changed, the beach was empty apart from Jean and the two guys who had burgers 😔

I noticed that too. Or was that another interpretation of how Jean's mind was working?

I thought it was about how Jeans' mind was.

They did the same when she was walking down the stone steps to the beach asking people where the chapel was .
She saw people in brightly coloured clothes wishing her luck and saying how lovely she looked ...where as
really the people were giving her funny looks and wrapped up warm .

There is a short behind the scenes video on the EE Facebook page of how they done the water scenes. (They did have wetsuits!) Also a few words from Jean and Stacey. I think it's the first time I've seen Gillian Wright do an interview, even though it's very very short. 😆

Yes, that's what I mean. It was well done. Brightly lit and happy then cut to reality which was drab and cold.

What really bugs me is the coffee cups in the cafe. They are clearly empty.

Proper made me cry , their acting was just so spot on for what was happening

Lacey and Gillian are very good actresses.
They have always worked well together with , what can be, difficult scripts.

Need a new thread soon blonds.
