Which means we don’t discuss an episode till it’s been on tv

After that it’s fair game

Anyway

When a terrorist campaign threatens the capital over the summer, bomb disposal experts Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) and Joel Nutkins (Adrian Lester) are at the forefront of urgent efforts.

They discover a potiental bomb factory in a London housing estate

( whispers but is filmed near to blondesland)

Looks good

Love both Vicky and Adrian as actors

You lot must be a bunch of cool cucumbers because I'm about to have a coronary ...

unfortunateevents · 23/01/2022 21:58

Oh dear, that was dreadful. So, so many things wrong with it.

viques · 23/01/2022 21:58

At least she will get to keep the lucky snips, or the memorial snips as they will now be known.

aramox1 · 23/01/2022 21:58

Ouch.

OytheBumbler · 23/01/2022 21:59

I enjoyed it, will definitely watch next week.

pollygartertidywife · 23/01/2022 21:59

Yep same here.
Entertaining and genuinely thrilling.

lazymum99 · 23/01/2022 22:00

That gave me a fright. How can they kill off adrian lester after one episode

absolutelynotfabulous · 23/01/2022 22:00

@TheSpottedZebra I was thinking the same.

Inspirationpending · 23/01/2022 22:00

I said to DH halfway through ‘it’s got shades of Vigil where they killed off a main character first episode’
but still jumped out of my skin when the bomb went off

Beachbabe1 · 23/01/2022 22:01

So dull i nearly turned it off on the final ad break! How are the bomb disposal squad going to keep us entertained for a whole hour every week! Lots of bombs in London..I think not

the80sweregreat · 23/01/2022 22:01

At least it got on with things, but surely they would have checked out all the cars and vans around first ?

TitsInAbsentia · 23/01/2022 22:01

@viques

At least she will get to keep the lucky snips, or the memorial snips as they will now be known.
Something for her to gaze at wistfully several times in the next couple of eps.
ginandbearit · 23/01/2022 22:02

Big bang was good but dialogue and exposition ( ooh get me) poor and clunky . Not sure I'm going to stay the course ..poor Ade , missed out on a good paycheck there ..

WhatICallMyUsername · 23/01/2022 22:02

@jay55

Zzzzzz. Not sure I'll make it to week 2.
Neither did Adrian Lester Grin

He was a dead man walking, wasn't he?

Aquarius1234 · 23/01/2022 22:03

Unrealistic that those two were not hurt at all.

Realmayowitheggs · 23/01/2022 22:03

I didn’t find it gripping at all. Perhaps my expectations were too high.

Popfan · 23/01/2022 22:03

I enjoyed it and actually gasped when the bomb went off Grin

lazymum99 · 23/01/2022 22:04

Mind you they killed off what’s his name at the beginning of Vigil

Aquarius1234 · 23/01/2022 22:04

I didn't gasp at all.

MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig · 23/01/2022 22:04

Not sure what to make of that. He didn’t last long did he?

Aquarius1234 · 23/01/2022 22:06

We are supposed to assume that was his arm? How predictable lol
Don't like him much as an actor anyhow. He was so casual and smug.

Realmayowitheggs · 23/01/2022 22:07

I’m going for the boyfriend police officer is involved.

Hmmph · 23/01/2022 22:08

Very disappointed in that. They were totally inept (tiny torches, touching light switch, panicking, sharing wire cutters and mirrors, kept taking off protective clothing...) and not suited to their jobs at all. I was expecting an explosion and him to die all the way through, so when he did I didn’t care.

youngestisapsycho · 23/01/2022 22:10

Ooh I enjoyed that!
