I remember when these episodes first aired I hated sallys outfit, now I love it.

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 20/05/2023 07:31

The Sally and Alex storyline was ridiculous. They barely knew each other and he split up with his fiancée for her!

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 20/05/2023 07:32

Also get back to Richard and Audrey! Not this nonsense.

LilyAndTheKing · 20/05/2023 10:18

The Richard and Audrey story is making me feel anxious. I totally remember watching the denouement (don't want to spoil it) but I don't remember seeing Audrey losing the plot. I had young children so I think I dipped in and out at the time.

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 20/05/2023 12:01

i remember the Audrey bit more clearly than the denouement! It’s very disturbing.

Iwantacampervan · 20/05/2023 13:22

I remember the denouement episode but not much leading up to it but I had 2 small children & don't think I watched it regularly.

GreenClock · 24/05/2023 08:42

I didn’t watch it regularly in late 2002 either. I can’t remember Mr Wu, nor Sally’s ridiculous relationship with the decorator, nor Archie being so heavily involved with Audrey and her family (I can only recall Tracy, the fabulous Kate Ford, trying it on with him despite knowing her grandmother was keen!).

Hillman continues to be horribly brilliant. I think that Helen Worth and Sue Nichols were immense during that storyline too. Brilliant chemistry between Helen and Brian Capron.

AmberLynn1536 · 24/05/2023 14:35

Did anyone think when the decorater revealed Hilda’s ‘Muriel’ that it was really nice? Much better than Sally’s awful wallpaper!

thenightsky · 24/05/2023 15:54

Was there an episode missing yesterday? I thought Karen and Steve were about to go to Tenerife, but then they were suddenly back in Manchester airport. I felt I'd missed their leaving and how the drugs got into their case without their knowledge).

LilyAndTheKing · 25/05/2023 16:34

I don't think so @thenightsky , they went for the weekend only.

Tourist29 · 26/05/2023 12:39

Even though we know Audrey survives it is still incredibly tense. I could hardly watch as they searched the kitchen and the others inevitably came back early from panto. What a villain Richard is!
(that’s Vik gone to live in Emmerdale - wonder why he left, I prefer him to Dev)

BeggyMitchell · 26/05/2023 16:54

Ooh eck, our Tracey's back! Is this the first time with Kate Ford's face?

Is it Christmas Day ? I vaguely remember Tracey-Luv coming back sans Robert on Christmas Day

BeggyMitchell · 27/05/2023 07:36

Yes, Christmas Day. And she's very proudly not avec Robert ...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/05/2023 07:50

I watched the episode last night - everyone flitting over to someone elses house for dinner Xmas Grin
The drinks in the Rovers while the dinnner is cooking .

David and Craig looked so young !

And of course - Richard Hillman -very suave , creeepily caring and believable .

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 29/05/2023 16:06

We’re nearly there now i think! Am glad to see some people starting to believe Audrey.

MrBit · 29/05/2023 16:47

Have I missed an episode? Last one was Tracy arriving home now she's in bed with Dev???

eggandonion · 29/05/2023 18:49

She hooked up with dev in the pub where she was meant to meet keith Duffy and his naughty twinkly eyes.
Dev lives a Christmas with the barlowes.

thenightsky · 29/05/2023 19:17

Oh, I'd forgotten that Tracey sleeps with Dev so soon after her return!

FeltCarrot · 03/06/2023 12:02

Deirdre has some very interesting jelly moulds!

I'm about a week behind but loving David with his new brace and evil Richard's face of concern over Emily's illness.

The new cabbie Patrick would have made an excellent father for Jason Grimshaw. They have the same facial expressions.

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 05/06/2023 18:06

£20k for Eileen’s house! Is that accurate??? Ricky Butcher was buying a house recently in Classic Eastenders and it was £160k and i thought that was low

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 05/06/2023 20:08

I remember when Richard was trying to convince Norris that he wasn’t after Emily’s house, he said that he’d only get around £25k for it - even at the time, I thought that was low. I paid £44k for my first house in the Midlands a couple of before that (although it had a garden rather than a yard).

The gentrification of the East End really started speeding up about 15 years ago, so I’d say £160k would be about right if I’m right on the timeline of the episodes (I’m guessing it’s from around 2002?)

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 05/06/2023 20:17

Yeah Woman it’s roughly at the same time as Classic Corrie so 2002/2003.
