Bit of trivia for you - David Fleeshman, who played the Superintendent, is the father of Richard Fleeshman, who played Craig Harris.
Richard Fleeshman's mother is Sue Jenkins who played the barmaid Gloria Todd.

I do wonder if the emergence of Netflix, Amazon Prime, digital channels etc. has affected the standard of writer that soaps can attract. In the 80s and 90s the likes of Kay Mellor, Jimmy McGovern and Sally Wainwright all cut their teeth on Corrie. Nowadays promising young writers probably start off small through a less mainstream channel and get their bigger opportunities that way.

Writing is occasionally good now but story lines are decidedly weird.
Im waiting to see if Deirdre continues to treat Dev kindly 😉

Been away for 2 weeks and have over 40 episodes of classic Corrie and emmerdale to watch. I'll get through them

its simple scenes like Sarah Lou and Candice turning up their school skirts coming out of the house that make the classics so much better than today’s shows

As soon as Jack won the money we wondered how soon it was going to be taken from them - would have much preferred for them to enjoy it - I bet Tyrone gives them his £1000 back, I love their relationship.
