Classic Corrie 6! Leanne’s not a hero - she lied; Linda and Alison will be brides; and Martin’s got a bit on the side

I think they’re doing special episodes for William Roache’s birthday. Just watching his wedding to Deirdre. The vicar looks a lot like Les Battersby!

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 18/04/2022 19:07

I'm quite behind on episodes - just at Bethany's christening now. David beginning to show his true, challenging colours! Quite a weird subplot with Gary Mallet ferrying around a random woman who is leaving her pearly abusive husband. I had forgotten he was apparently such a saint, what with this and the saving drowning children.

thenightsky · 18/04/2022 21:12

Bloody hell. I;ve got 8n episodes recorded for today and none of them seem to be in any sort of order Confused

OnTheBoardwalk · 18/04/2022 21:57

I'd rather watch random episodes of classic corrie than Carry On films on a Bank Holiday

thenightsky · 18/04/2022 22:18

Why is Baldwin at Ken and Deardrie's wedding and who is the ginger haired woman with him? Last episode I saw last week he was about to marry Linda.

OnTheBoardwalk · 18/04/2022 22:32

They were just random episodes they shown today. I do like @ToyahBattersby view they were to celebrate Ken's birthday

We are back to normal showing tomorrow

FlibbertyGibbitt · 19/04/2022 20:26

Now I watched yesterday and saw the episode when Mike Baldwin asked Alma round for Boxing Day lunch. Quite gutted we didn’t see the next episode !

Anyone spot the reference to Rolf Harris today?
Oops !

Yes!!!

Akire · 22/04/2022 19:35

Yes heard that reference back when Rolf was all over national TV. Shame Toyah isn’t going away to Uni, I take it she stays at home and spends all her time in cafe and pub & leaves with mountain of student debt. One in long line of non street leavers.

Ty is really good character really get why he is so attached to their house in 2022, so believable character. Nice also seeing Steve care for Leanne give it few years guys!

no idea if Mike gets married to a Linda but imagine some sort of punch up on the day.

HazelBite · 25/04/2022 17:57

No spoilers from me @Akire but I remember the wedding from when it was originally shown well worth watching!

x2boys · 25/04/2022 19:38

Classic Corrie humour
Vera :I would love another baby
Jack :There's more chance of Norris winning Mr Universe then you haveing another baby 🤣 love it, that's what they need to to get back too.

UpYourBumHun · 26/04/2022 11:34

A bit random but Is the person who plays Tommy’s Nan related to Emily’s niece (the deaf lady) they look similar ?
Glad PP explained the odd episodes, thought I was having a moment 😃Been away and came back to that

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 26/04/2022 12:43

Doreen (?) was a bit of a cow to poor Vera there. She's the one who's run off with a toy boy after all!

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 27/04/2022 08:38

Also Danny is coming across like a right git isn't he? I can sort of see his point but it was a bit harsh to respond to Sally pointing out that Kevin has lost his wife and child by shouting "don't tell me that it's got nothing to do with me!"

Also Kevin has only been back from Germany about five minutes so he can't have been round all that much surely?

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 28/04/2022 01:42

A few days late, but Emily was on great deadpan form at the dinner party 😁

“Norris, that wine you’ve got open…”
”Er, ‘breathing’, Emily”
”Yes - well, while WE still are, do you think you could pour us a glass?”

He's a bit harsh but IRL a divorced couple probably wouldn't be in each others pockets as much as Sally and Kevin I can understand his frustration.

DratThatCat · 29/04/2022 13:01

I'm a few days behind but I love the gentle romance between Rita and Anthony. Its so sweet. I cant remember what happens between them but I'm presuming it doesn't turn into a long term thing, which is a shame. It would be lovely to see Rita settle down with someone.

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 29/04/2022 13:19

Linda's grape themed wedding attire was a sight to behold!

GreenClock · 29/04/2022 13:25

I never thought that the pretty Jacqueline Pirie could look awful, but she did! She looks great with her hair down, business attire and light makeup.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 29/04/2022 16:00

I honestly didn’t remember how awful that frock was! Like the wall hangings in an early 90s wine bar!

x2boys · 29/04/2022 16:21

I liked the style of the dress, but not the grapes🤣
It didn't fit very well either around the bust
And what were those flower head dresses all about??

GreenClock · 29/04/2022 17:08

I’d have expected Linda to wear a Bianca Jagger white suit. Or something plain and fitted to show off her slenderness.

Lots of my friends married at that time (I was 27/28 in 2000 so peak wedding time around 1999-2003) and none of them wore anything like Linda’s.

OnTheBoardwalk · 29/04/2022 21:00

Linda's dress is a really bad fit and looks so uncomfortable

thenightsky · 03/05/2022 17:52

Vera looks different. I wonder if she's had botox or a mini face lift.
