Is anyone watching? No one I know in real life watches so I have no one to talk about it with- I'm on the current series on TLC when Kody is going all crazy paranoid about Covid

I think it benefits Meri to be divorced legally - she owns a couple of businesses and now Kody has no claim on her assets.

Janelle should see a lawyer. If the USA is similar to UK then she might be able to claim against Robyn's house, since she can prove her financial contribution to its purchase.

Janelle seems the nicest of the wives and an intelligent down to earth woman and genuine person. Annoying that the conniving Robyn owns a house and yet Janelle only owns part of a property. Meri is a bit annoying in that she should have realised years ago that Kody didn't want any sort of relationship with her.

If they don't get a tv show with just him and Robyn, then I think he will definitely take another wife, he's often said poverty is his biggest fear, he needs the income the tv shows provide.

I've finally caught up with it all.

MERI tells us she very rarely hears from Robyn and is not really invited to their family gatherings, Robyn acts like they live in each others pockets, I know who I believe.

Many years ago there was an episode of Q&A with the wives and their family members, I always remember an aunt of Christine's (think it was an aunt anyway) saying that this life was not right for Christine and she was not happy, and that she would regret it. Christine was having none of it and said how it was what she always wanted and was very happy, wonder does she see that aunt now.

I think Mariah won't have anything to do with the TV programme, but Meri said she told her about the move from flagstaff before she told Kody or anyone else, so I'm glad they're still talking, I was afraid they had a falling out.

I know Meri and Jannelle never got but I thought Christine might have stayed in touch with her.

Robyn's daughter whinges exactly like her, and has the same woe is me expression.

Apparently Christine has remarried now.

Yes, she has. The programme is so far behind though.

Wow really, so how far behind are the episodes we're watching does anyone know.

The Thanksgiving and Christmas they are agonising over at the start of this series is Christmas 2021. So eighteen months to two years behind.

I suppose before all of this, it didn't matter that the 'story' was so far behind because not much was actually happening.

But now so many of them have their own social media and YouTube channels that the Sister Wives series seems practically redundant.

Thanks @savoycabbage didn't realise that was 2021 so two years ago, I'd like to see a really up to date series but I wonder if they've stopped filming because the family are so separated now, mind you I remember thinking at the very beginning that eventually the children will grow up and might not want anything to do with at all, also thought they're would be resentment towards Robyn.

They are all still filming now. They need the money for a start!

I don't think it's more than 12 to 18 months behind as the Christmas in season 18 couldn't have been during the covid restrictions? Christine travelled back to flagstaff and then janelle joined her in the apartment a couple of days after too.

She left him in November of 2021 so that was the Christmas from season eighteen that is on now. Where Meri, Robyn and Kodi have Christmas together.

In 2022 Kodi and Robyn were the only ones left because Meri had left too and she spent Christmas 2022 in Utah with friends.

Christine officially announced her separation in November 2021
Janelle in December 2022
Meri a month later in January 2023

Sorry slightly tangential - do you think all the houses they film in are really their homes ? There were a couple of scenes last week (Hunter's (?) new house and Christine's and her brother's houses) which have niggled away at me. They were so bare of any personal features and they were eating off paper plates (which they seemed to do a lot of in the past at the big family gatherings).

I totally understand extended family may want to preserve their privacy.

Never thought about that but fwiw, we used to use paper plates for big family get togethers to save anyone having to wash up. This was ages ago when there were about 20+ of us at a time.
I'll have to pay more attention to the houses though as I've never noticed anything.

Jut watched latest episode and I was so pleased that meri got out and stopped accepting being treated so terribly.
Observed Robyn is so selfish it's all about what she wants not thinking about Meri.
Fact is Kody only really acted with care to Robyn.
Kody is so controlling and fixated on being the head of the family and being doctoral which became so evident over the last few seasons. I do not think Robyn and Kody will last by themselves- she seems keen on polygamy he doesn't.
I literally cannot stand Kody and feel he's got what he deserved finally meri Janelle and Christine took back control.

Kody always blames other and never accepts he has made mistakes

And why does Kody refer to his children as each wives kids not his kids

He seems to stop being interested in the kids as soon as they are old enough to have opinions that aren't the same as his!

Just caught up on yesterday's episode. Poor Meri - finally facing that her marriage is properly over and Robyn makes it all about her, sobbing all over the place!
And she was very quick to stake her claim to a big share of the land - I'd be interested to know how much cash she's put in compared to Meri and Janelle.

Yea I didn't really understand the land finance bit. And Kody saying Meri only has one child do doesn't need more land or something? I think they should sell it divide it all up he and Robyn just have their own house.

I do think Meri and Janelle need lawyers. Between them Kody and Robyn are laying claim to a big chunk of that land and as much as they might bullshit about being separate units , she is his legal wife and they are in the only real relationship left.

And her 'joke' about if she and Kody split - I think she's definitely got one eye on protecting her share of the assets that she appears not to paid for. Meri shouldn't take that lying down.

Just watched an episode of that daft Robyn weeping and sobbing. She is either an actress or completely nuts. Maybe she doesn't like being knocked off the pedestal of queen bee sister wife. Instead she's just an ordinary wife married to a man who is a mega pain in the neck. Which isn't much fun for anybody.

I was interested in the preview for next week's episode where Robyn says Kody picks fights with her.

It seems not all is well in the state of Kody & Robyn.

Soooooo bored now. They just play the same clip of the probably staged argument between Jeanelle and Kody then Robin cries. Loving Christine living her best life to the point of near mania. Loving Jeanelle generally being amazing. But it is dull dull dull. Every little thing is drawn out over a million episode with the same clips on repeat because they have no new footage and the kids are off living independent lives. Definitely won't be watching any future series if it carries on like this.
