They are Sikh though not sure how much they have mentioned this. Things like funeral and cultural way of mourning would look similar to what assume is Muslim tradition.

With the exception of Suki, the Panesar's still aren't working. Hopefully the producers will continue to get rid of the actors playing the family members.

I also think Ben is doing a great job - he's totally traumatised from his experience with Paul (never mind his dysfunctional family and the trauma with his dad, being abused by Stella, thinking his mum was dead and then realising she abandoned him, relationship with Ian etc etc) and I think it's all too much for him now.

But I thought Ash had been involved in opening the mosque and had made a comment about being both Muslim and gay during a meeting about it in the Albert? And hadnt Dana been talking to her about whether Bobby would be ok if she didnt convert? Or have I misunderstood? (Wouldn't be the first time!)

Iqra was muslim and Ahs is Sikh, that’s why Suki was so awful to Iqra (asides from her being gay!).

Ash Panesar is from a Sikh family. Also gone now. Her brother Jags (who died in prison and whose dad is apparently still in prison) is the father if Habiba's baby.
