@VivienneDelacroix agree! The new schedule started from Monday but I'm hoping the shorter Tuesday episode is a one- off just for this first week. 19 minutes is way too short

Ah just checked the schedules and it seems the Tuesday episode is always shorter, scheduled at 7:30 and the next programme airs at 7:50. Disappointing that after 87 million building an entirely new set, they can't manage 2 hours a week....

Sorry to say it could turn out to be a massive white elephant. BC2's Only Connect was getting a bigger audience when they were in direct competition. On Monday, even with all the trailers about Gray, more people watched Emmerdale than EE.

@Thymeout I think so too. It's not a new set they need, but better writing which allows story lines to develop without descending into farce or being left hanging, and which allows the actors to shine. There are some excellent actors (and characterisation) but they aren't maximised. Too many muddly plot lines going on and probably too many characters too. They need another clear out, though it seems so lazy to just cart them off to prison or bury them in the woods
