Cheers, Blondes.

MichaelAndEagle · 07/03/2022 22:25

@sodastreamer

Hands up who'd completely forgotten Zsa Zsa existed? 🤚

No one seemed to mention her much during the 18 months or so Tina's been missing.

That's true actually! I don't think she's been mentioned at all.
SecretPineapple · 08/03/2022 00:59

@Blondeshavemorefun

As I didn’t see the post before it got deleted I can’t comment

But as mnhq deleted it and any posts quoting it I assume it was a spoiler if mentioning that a family is coming back

Anyway let’s move on

This week ee is on mon tue wed Thur as of bloody football Friday

Apparently the new time slots are going to be the standard time slots from now on. The official Eastenders account posted this on Instagram a couple of weeks ago:

"From 7th March #EastEnders is moving in the TV schedules. It will air on @bbcone at 7.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Kate Oates, Head of Continuing Drama, says "We're
delighted that, from 7th March, there will be new regular time slots for EastEnders. This new simplified schedule means it's even easier for viewers to get their fix""

sodastreamer · 08/03/2022 07:10

Big shake up with the new set and new time slots but i guess they needed to do something to try to get viewing figures up. Let's hope they get some new writers on the team too. Some of the writing is great but there are too many story lines that drag on, or just get left hanging (copper in the freezer etc) or there's some ridiculous outcome in an attempt to tie up a plot line

There are some great actors and it would be good to see them used to the max

Riverlee · 08/03/2022 07:59

If my memory serves me right, wasn’t Eastenders always at 7.30pm in the past, when there were only 2-3 episodes per week?

MichaelAndEagle · 08/03/2022 08:04

Yeah corrie and eastenders were on at 7.30 but alternate nights i think.

DahliaMacNamara · 08/03/2022 08:17

Hang on, rewind a second. Copper in the freezer?

the80sweregreat · 08/03/2022 09:39

Wasn't the old funeral parlour owners something to do with the policeman in the freezer ?
I can't remember his name or how that came about but I do recall something!
Is stuart and rainie still running it ? Stu left a while back in a hospital gown and never been mentioned again!
Where has Rainie gone ?

the80sweregreat · 08/03/2022 09:40

In 1985 EE was on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7.30 for a few years. That's when it started.
They changed it to 3 nights then four over the years.

DahliaMacNamara · 08/03/2022 09:51

Oh, now that rings a bell. Was that the one who turned out to be only EastEnders dead, not Dead Dead, and turned up somewhere else? Or am I thinking of another character?

SecretPineapple · 08/03/2022 10:53

Yep, was on 7:30 Tues and Thurs, 8pm Mon and Fri. Then it got a bit all over the place in the last couple of years, sometimes not on til 8:30. I'm happy about the new schedule, no more checking what time it's on.
PinkDaydreams · 08/03/2022 12:49

Catching up on last nights. The picture looks alot clearer and brighter, I’m presuming because of the new set and filming?!
Is it the entire set they have replaced? Daren’t google in case spoilers pop up.

Riverlee · 08/03/2022 13:39

@PinkDaydreams

Yes, they’ve replaced it totally. On the One Show, Martin Kemp walked around the new set.

Yes it's the entire outdoor set replicated using brick instead of the plastic and wood the old set mainly consisted of. Slightly bigger and with a couple of new areas. They put this on Instagram the other day, saying how weird it is because it's exactly the same but bigger, and it's now safer for them to use.
Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2022 13:54

Pub also says it has a beer garden

Erm where

OP posts:
sodastreamer · 08/03/2022 14:29

@Blondeshavemorefun the pub appears to have taken over the communal garden area in the middle of the square, with tables set out and a big banner. Not quite sure how this would work in real life! Nor am I sure whether it would have the right ambience to enjoy a relaxing glass of vino...

ROWLE · 08/03/2022 16:28

I've just been reading that Jessie Wallace has become a grandmother to a baby boy.

the80sweregreat · 08/03/2022 19:38

It's Rainie !
..

Aquarius1234 · 08/03/2022 19:40

Wow her daughter is 17.

Jellykat · 08/03/2022 19:48

I'm loving Kheerat in a leather jacket, phwoar!

the80sweregreat · 08/03/2022 19:57

VivienneDelacroix · 09/03/2022 08:03

I'm so disappointed though - a 19-minute episode last night. I hoped that the new schedule would bring back consistent 30-minute episodes.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 09/03/2022 09:41

I've lost track of when it's on so have missed a lot of recent episodes.

Same with Corrie for some reason. Emmerdale isn't worth watching. Sigh.
