Well, we quite liked it. It's slow, but I think it will be a builder. I am intrigued to know what happened to Emma, and to his wife and daughter. I know it said they were killed by a falling wall, but I just wonder about that.

Looking forward to the next few episodes.

Binge watching is great, but now and then it's nice to have a bit of a wait between episodes and to discuss them as they're aired. It's not like we have a long time to wait!

I enjoyed it , it was a bit of a slow burner. Everyone is so pretty in it.

I was just fascinated by the clothes, beautiful polished people with beautiful very expensive clothes. It’s another world!

I loved it! Also agree 100% about the pretty women and phenomenal outfits. David Oweyolo is sinister as hell but simultaneously incredibly handsome.

I read this book a few years ago (2017?) but found the first episode quite confusing. I remember enjoying the book though.

I found the first episode quite slow. Location for the house was strange, in the middle of suburbia and what looked like a dead end.

@MrsSiba - in London there are def roads like that! All Victorian houses then a modern one plonked in a ‘gap’ at the end. Maybe not as stark as that but it’s def a ‘thing’.

I've just googled and am disappointed that the house isn't real, it's just a set. Also, a lot is filmed in Bristol rather than London.

I had to Google ‘Simon’ actor too - kept on saying he’s so familiar, but as a younger version of himself!!

Don’t understand why anyone would’ve have lived in the house with those rules. It creeped me out.

I read the book very recently. I really enjoyed episode one - looking forward to tonight's installment. I agree that the house looked strange from the outside but inside it was exactly as I pictured it when reading the book.
